Are you a proactive, commercially-minded and super-organised Production Manager looking for your next challenge in a dynamic creative agency?
We are seeking an experienced Interim Production Manager working 4 or 5 days per week, starting in January 2026 for 12-14 months maternity cover. Based in Clerkenwell, London (with flexible hybrid working), you will be the linchpin of our production output, ensuring the seamless, profitable delivery of diverse projects across all marketing channels.
This role requires a hands-on catalyst who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at managing resources, budgets, and people.
Salary: Circa £40,000pa FTE
The Role: What You'll Be Doing
As the Interim Production Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day delivery of our multi-platform projects.
Key Responsibilities Include:
End-to-End Production Management: Overseeing the full project lifecycle (new business scoping + quoting, client contract setup, systems configuration, and pre- to post-production) for diverse formats, including video, animation, websites, copy, livestreams/webinars, and more.
Financial & Resource Strategy: Proactively managing administration, finance, and staffing arrangements, driving efficiencies to optimise profit margins and guarantee all projects are delivered on-time and on-budget.
Scheduling & Allocation: Strategically scheduling in-house and freelance staff across multiple projects, ensuring maximum resource efficiency and utilisation.
Operational Control: Utilising our project management software (Scoro) to diligently monitor costs, track activities, coordinate schedules, and manage administration for every project.
Leadership & Development: Line managing the Production and Operations Support team member, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the production function effectively supports the wider team.
Stakeholder Communication: Acting as the primary internal liaison, providing excellent service delivery, taking the lead on supplier relationships, and anticipating/resolving any project challenges proactively.
Compliance: Acting as the agency's Health and Safety Officer in conjunction with the management team (subject to experience) and managing project invoicing alongside the COO and Finance Manager.
Who You Are
You are a strong project manager, relationship builder, and problem-solver with a demonstrable history of working in a similar role within a fast-paced agency environment.
Must-Have Skills and Experience:
- Solid experience as a Production Manager or similar role within a creative agency.
- A hands-on, commercial approach-happy to lead the function while also rolling up your sleeves to get things done.
- Exceptional organisational, administrative, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to think on your feet and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in project management software (experience with Scoro is a bonus).
- A team player with a 'can-do' attitude, a sense of humour, and confidence working independently in a creative setting.
- Excellent IT skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid office/remote model.
