In-house Graphic Designer (mid-range)Location: Leeds (with opportunities to work from home)Salary: £25,000-28,000 depending on experienceShifts: standard working hours 09.00-17.00 Monday - Friday but we can discuss flexible working arrangementsAs a graphic designer at Exemplar Health Care you'll create eye-catching visuals and will need to be creative, flexible and work well with others.You'll work as part of the Marketing Team to develop creative ideas and concepts to support our marketing and communications activity, as well as support design work for other areas of the business.You'll play a key role in developing a variety of products and marketing materials including leaflets, brochures, website, advertising, exhibitions and displays, social media, corporate communications and our Brand basics.There'll also be lots of opportunities to get involved in other work and projects, so that you can continue to develop your skills and interests within the role.Role and responsibilitiesAs a graphic designer you'll need to:work with colleagues to discuss the objectives and requirements of the jobestimate the time required to complete the job and set realistic timescalesthink creatively to produce new ideas, concepts and interactive design for a range of marketing and in-house materials, in line with the Brand basicstake ownership of design projects from brief through to production - from creating concepts, working through feedback, presenting ideas and concepts to colleagues and testingwork with a range of media and keep up-to-date with the latest industry softwarecontinually develop skills in the latest printing and graphic design techniquesproofread to produce accurate and high-quality workadhere and promote the Brand Basic across all marketing and in-house materials, and be proactive in developing the brand as requiredwork with external suppliers including printers, photographers, illustrators, other designers, web developers and marketing specialists. About youThe role demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time and deadlines.We want someone who really believes in what they're designing, so we're looking for someone who is passionate about and interested in the health and social care sector, and is enthusiastic and willing to get involved in a range of projects and activities across the organisation. Qualifications and experienceRelevant qualification or training e.g. in graphic design, marketing and media, 3D design, communication design, photography, illustration or visual art.This is a mid-range position so previous experience in a design role is essential.SkillsTechnical skillsExperience using the full Adobe suite including InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoshopDesirable but not necessary: Photography or video editing skills (there will be opportunities to do training to develop these skills if you're interested)Other skillspassion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flaira flexible approach when working in a teamexcellent communication skills to interpret and negotiate briefsgood presentation skills and the confidence to explain ideas to colleaguestime management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at onceaccuracy and attention to detail when finalising designsbeing open to feedback and willing to make changes to your designswillingness to learn and develop, and keep up-to-date with design trends and industry software.
