We are ambitious and have exciting plans to grow our businessThe Head of Production is a key part of the senior leadership team that reports directly to the Executive Chairman and manages the production team across the entire Milk VFX division including the overseas studios. You will be responsible for ensuring that the production department is best in class in terms of people, processes and engagement with clients. You will have oversight of all project budgets and schedules, with specific responsibility for those project revenues and costs pertaining to VFX work and our client relationsWorking in partnership with the CBDO, HODs, Producers and Supervision teams, you will oversee the delivery of shows, the smooth running of the production process and engagement with clients. Acting as a mentor for the production crew, you will work in partnership with the people team to provide training and career support ensuring consistency in production working practices across the MILK VFX division. This is a role that requires a love of process, organisational skills and leadership, and of course all things VFX Responsibilities: * Daily management of the production teams and VFX projects ensuring schedules, milestones, and deliveries are running smoothly and that projects are delivered on time and on budget. Assist in the resource assignments of the shows and recommend hires for the production team * Be a communication bridge across different departments including Finance, Systems, Pipeline, and Artists back to production * Lead, train and motivate the team to perform at their best. Provide direction and leadership through production issues and create a positive work environment * Assess production needs, allocating relevant VFX resources to each project * Assistance with show budgets from bidding/breakdown through to quality checking * Responsible for championing the creation of best in class production workflows, processes and tools * Meet regularly to monitor project budgets and projections. Oversee the maintenance of daily and weekly reports to the general management. * Act as a VFX Producer or Exec Producer when needed * Responsibility for ongoing monitoring and management of the production delivery within creative and financial parameters. * Maintain an overview of all VFX projects ensuring projects are completed to the highest standard achievable * Responsible for working with CBDO, FD and the Head of VFX to establish approved budgets at the start of the project * Monitoring project costs in line with production progress and overall budgetary targets * Be an experienced point of contact for clients when neededEssential Skills: * Proven experience as a VFX HOP, [Senior Producer] [or Exec Producer in Television, Film and/or Advertising.] * Business expertise with an ability to balance financial responsibilities while managing clients. * Thorough understanding of VFX production pipelines and postproduction. * Strong scheduling, tracking and resource management skills. * Articulate communication skills both written and verbal. * Collaborative and creative problem solver * High level of initiative. * Experience leading teams of at least 20 people * Ability to travel if necessary Personal Attributes: * Visionary Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, driving towards innovation and excellence. * Exceptional Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively liaise with various departments and external partners. * Strategic Thinker: Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into effective solutions. * Adaptability and Resilience: Comfortable navigating a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the resilience to manage multiple challenges. * Passion for the Industry: A deep interest in the Visual Effects industry and a commitment to contributing to its growth and success.
