Reporting to the Director, Spark Studio, the Head of Production will run our slate and studio operations, manage our production management department and south London studio. Alongside running the day to day of the production slate, you will be working closely with our Senior Producers and Head of Post-Production to drive forward strategic objectives and iterating processes to deliver team efficiencies and long term value to the studio. You will be responsible for all operational aspects of the studio and working with key stakeholders around the business and ensuring all processes are clear and effective with each department, this includes legal, finance, talent, content partnerships, post-production, audience and network, distribution, content operations. You will own the supplier relations and be on the lookout for new ones to improve our output and ensure scheduling across these is optimized and most effective.Responsibilities * Operational accountability for Spark Studio's production slate through Hive, our production management tool, and all supporting processes and documenting these for the team * Resource management, forecasting across editorial, production and support staff * Management of production team, which includes line management of three production managers * Oversight of our south London studio, with the day-to-day management being run by our Studio Co-ordinator * Owning supplier relationships and understanding how to utilise their expertise for our slate * Supporting producers and production managers ramp up and plan their series from development to delivery * Being a key contact and building relationships and effective processes across the Global Content Group within WildBrain, as well as within the WildBrain Spark business unit * Responsible for adherence to all aspects of health & safety, safeguarding, rights and compliance clearances and any relevant guidelines and codes with respect to content production * Partnering with our Senior Producer team to build effective and efficient pipelines per show, and format, across 2D, 3D and Stop Motion, Live Action, and editorial formats * Working towards and improving our DE&I efforts for our off screen talent and teamsQualifications * Have a proven track record of successfully delivering multiple complex projects across formats, and having to rebuild pipelines to support the editorial vision * Confidence in using new technology and softwares in the pipeline, particularly project and task management tools, and building the appropriate infrastructure in these * Solution driven with experience in how to automate and create further efficiencies in production processes and pipeline * Highly numerate and analytical with experience of series budget creation, budget management, scheduling and dynamic live changes through the production * Be a key team manager, demonstrating leadership and accountability in the success of the company * Detailed understanding of Live Action, and Animation workflows (2D, 3D and Stop Motion) * Successful line management, mentorship, and growth of teams from a wide range of experiences
