Curve is a major producing theatre, creating compelling cultural experiences for all those who live, learn, visit and work in Leicester and Leicestershire.

Due to extraordinary growth, and current expansion of our technical team, we are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Production to lead and manage our technical department and ensure Curve's technical provision is delivered to the highest possible standard.

The successful candidate will have proven experience working in technical theatre, a demonstrable track record of leading and managing teams, and experience in costing and negotiating deals and contracts for both small and large scale projects. Working into the Buildings and Technical Director, the post holder will be a member of the Senior Management Team and will be expected to play a key role in the leadership of the theatre as well as providing direct line management and guidance to the Production and Technical teams.



The post holder will also oversee the work of freelance Production Managers and will be accountable for all production budgets for Made at Curve produced work- therefore s/he must be able to demonstrate expertise in budgeting and financial management. In addition, it is essential the post holder has up to date knowledge of Health and Safety legislation as s/he will take an active part in leading this area within the Production department. Leadership skills are essential, as well as the ability to communicate across the organisation and externally. The successful candidate will be able to devise and deliver long-term business strategies.



Due to the nature of the role, the successful individual will have a flexible approach to working, including the ability to work unsociable hours.
