Zig Zag Productions are looking for a new Head of Post Production who has the following skills:-

Skills:
Must know Avid inside out and problem solve to an extremely high standard.
The applicant will need an excellent knowledge of computing, PC maintenance and networking skills.
The applicant should have knowledge of LTO systems (Xendata) and ideas about card/file naming/organisation.
A good knowledge of legacy tape formats would be a big advantage.
Must be affable and amenable with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
Day to day scheduling for the suites and edit assistants.
Fixing technical issues as they arise and dealing with daily queries.
Organising the LTO library back-ups for Rushes, Masters and Archive clips.
Liaising with Post-Houses and clients on deliverables and working to a spec.
Ability to give training on the following:
Card wrangling, Ingest, transcoding, Offline and Online workflows.

Overview:
The applicant will be involved in the day to day running of a very busy post production facility.
Setting up project specific work flows and training staff in various aspects of post-production.
There is vast scope to find new and innovative ways of improving and adding to current services
