You'll play a pivotal role in guiding aspiring editors, from those just discovering the craft to seasoned second-year students with a lifelong dedication to the art form. What you'll do: Lead and inspire our Editing department; manage the team and coordinate visiting tutors to ensure high quality teaching delivery. Teach and mentor diverse cohorts of students, helping them transition from our MA Filmmaking course into successful industry careers. Work with our registry team to promote the course and develop an outstanding faculty of freelance industry practitioners and contributors. Champion the Editing discipline, contributing to LFS's global reputation as a top-tier film School. Our alumni include award-winning editors such as Affonso Goncalves (Todd Haynes' films), Yorgos Mavropsarides (Lanthimos films), and Elizabet Ronaldsdottir (Deadpool, John Wick). You'll be instrumental in shaping the careers of future industry leaders. Who we're looking for: We welcome applications from individuals with: Extensive industry experience as an editor in film/high-end TV drama, AND/OR A significant history of teaching editing for filmed drama at MA level. A genuine passion for mentoring young people and building a world-class department. The ability to attract and engage top industry talent to contribute to our vibrant London film School.
