About the Role
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Creative Production will be charged with increasing company revenues by both assisting in the management of existing client partnerships and identifying and developing new business opportunities. This includes setting and implementing growth strategies, developing cross-sales prospects, and increasing awareness of the company within the marketplace.
The Head of Creative Production sits within our Creative Production Department, which specialises in creating content for commercial and marketing platforms. They will work alongside the Senior Account Directors across our Creative Production, and Print & Digital Teams, as well as our Operations Director and Technical Services Director. This role will also work closely with our Executive Creative Director.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the CEO, PPC requires the Head of Creative Production to generate, develop, and close high-value new business opportunities.
The role will be split between generating and developing new accounts, creating compelling business cases for client investment, and expanding relationships with our existing client base.
A key area of focus will be the international VOD market.
Working closely with the Executive Creative Director.
Managing a team of Exec Creative Producers, Senior Producers and Producers.
Acting in a holistic position, they will liaise between the various Account Management teams to ensure all clients are offered a full suite of services, identify cross-selling opportunities, and proactively target repeat and future business.
The candidate will develop and own a successful business development strategy, maximising opportunities within their own existing client base, alongside our existing and potential clients, to ensure the company's financial and growth targets are met.
Responsible for researching and growing a sales pipeline, making initial client contact, taking a lead role in pitches, and converting prospects to achieve set revenue targets, all aligned with the company's growth strategy.
Facilitate accurate forecasting of new business on a monthly and quarterly basis in collaboration with Account Management teams.
Developing and maintaining relationships with broadcasters, media, creative, and PR agencies, as well as direct clients, is essential.
Day-to-day responsibilities will involve working collaboratively with various creative departments within the business to create new opportunities and maximise the agency's resources to win new clients.
Liaise with production and creative teams to manage all creative responses and tenders. Negotiate with clients to develop long-term opportunities and build partnerships.
As an externally focused team member, manage the complete life cycle of new business pitches.
Represent the agency in a knowledgeable and credible manner, delivering face-to-face presentations of the agency's services and pitching to new clients.
Raise the profile of the agency by identifying new and engaging ways to ensure clients know who we are.
Key Skills and Requirements
At least three years of proven first hand experience within a Sales/New Business Development role at a broadcaster, media, or production/creative agency in the UK is essential.
Significant experience in content production and a wealth of contacts, ideally at VOD platforms, broadcasters, media, gaming, PR and creative agencies, and clients directly.
A highly capable commercial negotiator with proven ability to close complex deals with long sales cycles.
Ability to be a self-starter, using initiative and working independently.
Hands-on problem solving skills, working closely with peers to generate effective ideas and solutions to challenging client problems.
An entrepreneurial flair with the drive and passion to achieve goals and targets.
A strong passion for and knowledge of the broadcasting, media, creative, and PR industries.
A positive, determined, and well structured approach to researching, analysing, and prioritising new business opportunities.
Ability to manage competing demands, prioritise tasks, and pay close attention to detail.
Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.
