You will be responsible for leading expert teams of market strategists and analysts, writers and producers to create, produce and distribute relevant content that helps achieve set brand, customer and commercial goals for IG in key regions around the globe. Responsible for planning, delivery and oversight of the success of the content business, including IG and DailyFX producing and optimising content for the UK, USA, APAC, Europe and emerging markets regions. The function works with analysts and financial writers, managing content strategy, collaborating with marketing, analytics and ensuring that commercial metrics are set and putting in place sustainably efficient process deliver against deadlines. You are responsible for ensuring that content is accurate, accessible, informative and engaging to its audience, up to and including providing content-based lead generation for IG offices The editorial function must be able to make quick, yet informed content decisions to facilitate the smooth-running website and all formats - enabling business to react to market news, to capitalise and harness volatility, to drive opinion, analysis and take competitive advantage. In addition to the websites and apps, the position will be responsible for smooth and efficient running of it's TV and home based studios to the drumbeat of the fast-moving financial markets news cycleWhat you'll doThe Head of Content reports to the Group Marketing Director and will have direct reports leading teams and communities of market analysts, SEO, earned media, video production and educational content with a wider team of around forty colleaguesThis person will work closely with the regional leadership directors on strategy, and regional leads on execution to ensure content is helping to deliver brand, customer and commercial goals aligned to the targets set by the regionsResponsible for creating and optimising the short, medium- and long-term editorial strategy, planning and executional processes with the regional teams to deliver timely markets news, analysis and earned media content for all formatsWorks closely with the product, technical, paid media, social, CRM and analytics teams to optimise content themes and improve distribution and analyse performance on social sites, websites, search, apps and within platforms.Will be part of the Global Marketing Leadership team, responsible for establishing and leading key communities of practise, building a centre of excellence to benefit marketing colleagues' skills and experience around the globeHyper experienced in planning and delivering against the financial markets newscycle, and up to date on best in class delivery of markets content from around the globe from top news organisationsBe a partner to the AI team to utilise appropriate tools and processes to improve efficiency in translation, transcreation and productionWho we're looking for?You're curious about things like the client experience, the rapid developments in tech, and the complex world of fintech regulation. But, if you have that IG Group energy and you can stand behind what we believe in, let's raise the bar together.What you'll need for this roleA strong and visible leader, able to build and optimise the content editorial and operating modelA content creation expert, with understanding and capability in storytelling, brand and experience across multiple formats (e.g. video, educational, long form, short form, social media, technical) and proven experience utilising data in content creation and optimisationHighly commercial in mindset and capability, with demonstrable experience and success from using behavioural and competitor insights to drive optimisationProven track record effective management of budgets, including management of agencies, freelancers and ongoing quarterly reviews and ongoing training are provided for efficient utilisation of enterprise martech solutions.Evidence of utilising content to find, engaging and grow new audiences via lead generation, brand building opportunities identified, and integration with regional marketing campaign briefs.Has experience effectively managing a globally dispersed team, with the ability to ensure clear objectives, roles and responsibilities are established and that performance and coaching conversations are central to leadership style.Demonstrable experience sponsoring and delivering the audience and customer content requited for large-scale projects, by working closely with product, technical and regional marketing teams to identify content gaps and opportunities· Highly literate across range of digital channels and understanding of content ideation and adaptation for reach and engagement (e.g. X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Telegram, WeChat)Experience leading, managing and optimizing diverse, virtual and agile high-performance teams, and driving an engaging, dynamic cultureCRM experience, working with content distribution channel partners to optimise for lead capture for conversionMindset / ApproachCommercial mindset, excited by the opportunity to create and implement strategy, new operating models and processesA natural communicator, curious to learn, adapt and improve performance, results and the capability and capacity of the teamEvidence of confidence and competence writing and presenting strategies and performance reporting to all levels in an organisation - from the Board, through to team meetings.Influencer, able to can take people on the journey of change and innovation, whilst ensuring business continuityExperience developing high-performing teams, nurturing, and retaining talent and collaborative by natureEvangelist for AI, martech and practical tools to create sustainable efficiencies, including implementing a culture of 'test and learn' to optimise content strategyBrand literate, can uphold brand guidelines, tone of voice and brand experience principles
