Contra is an award winning digital agency based in Greenwich in London. We offer a range of services including digital strategy, web design and video production.
We're looking for an Account Director with a passion for digital to help us take Contra onwards and upwards.
This is an exciting new role! You will be a key member of the senior team with input into the direction of the business and its strategy. You will be expected to review existing sales practices, define a strategy and grow your team. This is a hands-on management role where you'll be expected to assist in winning new business, through arranging meetings, attending networking events, meeting / presenting to new clients, writing proposals and closing deals.
This role has lots of responsibility and so we are looking for someone with an excellent understanding of how a production company works. You should have outstanding sales ability and have solid experience of winning and managing client accounts of all sizes across a range of industry sectors.
It is a role ideal for someone who would like the autonomy of working in a smaller company at a senior level where they can make a significant difference.
Responsibilities Meet and exceed monthly revenue targets whilst ensuring a positive, professional customer experience
Ensure positive long term relationships are built and developed with existing and new customers
Define the new business strategy and identify opportunities to grow the company
Review existing sales practices and establish "best practice" throughout
Grow and develop the sales and account management team
Be pro-active and 'hands on' in your approach to selling and sales management
Contribute to the company strategy by sharing knowledge, best practice and market intelligence with the wider management team
Candidate ProfileSolid senior experience in a similar position for a production company or creative agency
Track record in business to business sales, gained within the video production / creative agency sector
Good contacts with commissioning ad agencies
Excellent leadership and relationship management skills
Confident and clear communicator, able to demonstrate experience of engaging in conversations and building relationships with clients at the highest level
Ability to work on own initiative and identify opportunities for sales growth and service improvement
The ability to adapt to a fast moving and constantly changing marketplace
Comfortable working on or with large client accounts and decision makers
