Graphic Designer

Remote

We're looking for a talented graphic designer to join the team full-time. You'll be our main go-to person for anything graphics-related - mostly YouTube thumbnails, but also on-brand assets for new products, blog posts, branding etc. This is the perfect role for someone who is hungry to learn and grow. There's no bureaucratic paperwork or super-long protocols to follow. You'll wear multiple hats, and have lots of freedom and creative control to hopefully impact millions of people.

Location: Fully remote (although we have an office in Central London so if you're local, that would be even better)

Salary: £24,000 - £35,000 GBP depending on experience

What you'll be doing
Producing high-end graphics-mainly YouTube thumbnails but also on-brand assets in the case of new series, blog posts, etc.
Design work that is on-brand, compelling, and synergistic with the style.
Preparing and presenting creative vision, concepts, and completed designs with a quick turnaround.
Collaborating with the team in a positive and productive manner
Collaborating closely with the post-production crew and developing assets based on their requirements.
Working on multiple projects at once with ease
A/B testing various thumbnail concepts of your own making over several different YouTube channels.

This job is right for you if
You have a real passion and curiosity for everything graphic design.
You are a creative individual with a strong sense of aesthetics and attention to detail.
You have a portfolio demonstrating solid experience in graphic design.
You have a minimum of 3 years experience working as a freelancer (paid projects) or within an agency.
You're willing to take feedback in a positive manner and adjust the work based on it.
You thrive under minimal supervision while assuming full ownership of the outcome.
You're able to adapt quickly to a different style.
Requirements
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom and Figma.
Great knowledge of typography.
Excellent organizational and English communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn and develop your skills further.
Ability to work in the GMT+1 timezone. The schedule is flexible. As long as the work is done and you're around and responsive during the day, no particular schedule is enforced.
The ability to work in our organizational app of choice-Notion-or the willingness to get up to speed with the basics of it before the job officially starts.
A university degree in art or design is not required. We prefer to look at the quality of work.
Benefits
About the Team
Our mission is to create inspirational and educational content that helps people do more of what matters to them. In 4 years, the YouTube channel's grown to 2M subscribers, with hundreds of thousands of followers on out other platforms. Our content aims to help people be more productive, learn better, become financially independent, and generally live happier, healthier lives.

The medium-term aim is to continue to make more content, make it really good, and put it out for free across our social platforms. Our paid online courses fund our business operations, and help us create (hopefully) world-class free content. I'm also in the process of writing a book, which will hopefully be published mid-2023, and if it's a banger, it'll hopefully take our business to the next proverbial level. We're also launching a new podcast (similar to Tim Ferriss / Impact Theory) where we interview inspiring people about how they got to where they are + how they find joy and fulfilment in their work and life.

You'll be joining a small(ish), dynamic, friendly team who don't believe in red tape and try our best to have fun every day.

Perks of the Job
Trajectory - You'll be an early-stage team member in a multi-faceted online business with characteristics similar to high-growth startups.

Impact - Your work will be seen by millions of people around the world, and hopefully impact them in a positive way.

Adventure - You'll be able to join travel opportunities and other fun things that come with working in a choose-your-own-adventure business.

Ownership - If you've got fun or interesting ideas that align with the business goals, you'll have free reign to make them happen without having to wade through red tape and middle-management.

Not Bullshit - Over 70% of Americans apparently think their jobs are meaningless and don't actually impact society. This hopefully won't be one of those.
