Graphic Designer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an ambitious and driven Graphic Designer to join our fast-growing team, helping us to paint an exciting and consistent picture of Discovery Education across all channels, both print and digital.

You'll primarily support our marketing team by producing graphics for web, digital advertising and email, as well as brochures and other print material. You will also play a smaller role in supporting other teams, including sales and the product design team when required.

You will be strong in print design and confident in flowing a brand identity through both print and digital touchpoints. You will have a flair for design whilst understanding the importance of maintaining a coherent brand and user experience. Our end users are teachers, parents and children, and you will appreciate the differences and challenges in designing for each.

You'll work closely with another graphic designer and manage the workload between you, so collaboration is key.

Requirements
EXPERIENCE
At least two years of experience working in graphic design in a professional environment
Technically savvy
Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment
Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud is necessary and Figma would be advantageous
Experience creating and editing videos and/or animations is highly desirable
Experience creating animated / HTML5 ads is desirable.
COMPETENCIES
You have a keen eye for layout, colour, type and illustration
You are able to follow existing design guidelines and contribute to their development
You have a keen interest in best practices within graphic design
You'll be commercially minded and great at prioritising
You have excellent attention to detail
You are flexible and comfortable with a fast pace and rapid change
You have passion for education and learning - both within yourself and for others
You work well as part of a team - you will work with many teams including product, engineering and marketing Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
