You will be part of a highly skilled studio team working across our programmes on a daily basis. You will work closely with Producers, Directors and Presenters.

Your role:
As a Gallery PA, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of live television broadcasts by assisting the directors, producers, vision mixers, and other crew members. Your attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to work under pressure will contribute to the overall success of our live productions.

Day to day you will:

The role of Gallery PA is pivotal in ensuring each broadcast runs to time, taking into account on and off air times, and all other elements that are played in.

This is live television with constantly breaking news. You need to be quick thinking and use your initiative to communicate with presentation/scheduling should any technical problems arise.

You should be able to communicate efficiently with the Presenters, Director, Producer and Production team throughout the build up and transmission of the programme.

You have to be able to work under extreme pressure in a calm and professional manner, often problem solving with little time to spare.

Communication and working in a team are key attributes needed as well as being extremely organised

Knowing AVID iNews is an advantage

It is your responsibility to communicate with presentation/ scheduling the on air and off air times for each programme and ensure the information is communicated to the relevant individuals

Be quick thinking and use your initiative to communicate with presentation/scheduling should any technical problems arise

Count clearly and articulately in a high pressured environment

What we're looking for from you:

This is a fast paced and busy role that requires previous experience within a live gallery environment, as well as knowledge of live studio broadcasts
Extremely organised and accurate with timings for all broadcasts, identifying and eradicating any timing issues
You will have good relationship building skills, be an excellent communicator, and highly articulate and organised. You will have an eye for detail and the ability to work methodically and quickly
It is essential you are able to adapt to last minute changes of timings within broadcasts
Able to remain calm and excel in a high pressure environment of live television, whilst using initiative
