The Role........
Our technical production plays a leading part in ensuring our Wigs are of the highest quality by delivering technical excellence for every production whilst working within budget.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Wig Manager to join our team, working across various productions. The work involves overseeing a team and busy workroom.
They will have knowledge of wig making, styling, hair cutting for wigs in Theatrical, Film, and television productions.
Candidates applying should be highly experienced in Wig making and have managed workrooms or have management experience, they need to be organised, with a positive attitude, punctual and reliable. Flexibility is also essential. Due to the nature of the creative industry, schedules and deadlines frequently need to be adjusted so an openness to alter hours is essential.
What you will bring......
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in all aspects of wig making.
• Extensive experience working with all hair types (including Afro and textured, Asian, European, synthetic, yak and mohair).
• An excellent background in a wide variety of wig and hair preparation techniques.
• Confident working with all lace and net types.
• Full knowledge of knotting and ability to write clear instructions for our wig makers..
• Repairing wigs and making alterations.
• Knowledge of hairdressing skills (including cutting, styling and colouring).
• Hair mixing
• Ability to take clear and competent wig measurements.
• Ability to think creatively.
• Work to tight deadlines.
• Manage and organise a workload amongst a team.
• IT skills essential (Microsoft Office & Teams)
• Good organisational skills
• A friendly and positive attitude
