The i Paper is growing its social video team at a pivotal moment of expansion. We're looking for a creative and organised Formats Video Producer to help us make distinctive, shareable short-form videos that showcase The i Paper's lifestyle, wellness, money and opinion journalism. About the roleYou'll produce non-news, format-led video content for our social channels - developing series and concepts that reflect The i Paper's voice and values while engaging new audiences.You'll oversee projects from start to finish - developing ideas, scripting, arranging shoots, filming, editing and publishing - and collaborate with both in-house journalists and external contributors. This role suits a self-starter with great editorial instinct, strong storytelling skills and experience creating standout short-form video for digital platforms. Main ResponsibilitiesProduce and publish original short-form video formats for The i Paper's social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts).Work closely with the Head of Social Video to develop creative ideas that grow reach and strengthen brand recognition.Manage the end-to-end production process, from concept and scripting to shooting, editing and publishing.Collaborate with editors, contributors and on-screen talent to bring projects to life.Arrange Instagram collaboration posts between The i Paper's Social Media Editors and external contributors.Edit video content shot by contributors to ensure it aligns with The i Paper's editorial tone and visual style.Use performance data to analyse what's working and suggest practical, creative ways to improve and evolve formats. Person SpecificationProven experience producing short-form video for social media, ideally in a features, lifestyle or opinion setting.Strong storytelling skills and the ability to develop repeatable, engaging formats.Confident shooting and editing (Premiere Pro or similar).Excellent organisation and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders at once.A creative, ideas-driven mindset with a good understanding of what resonates on social. Additional information6-month fixed-term contract, based in our London office.Flexible Monday-Friday working pattern, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.Occasional use of your own filming equipment may be required.
