Position SummaryWe are seeking an on-site Finishing Producer to join our team and manage the post-production process for features and long-form episodic productions. We are open to candidates with a range of producer experience levels, providing they meet the core requirements of the role.Key Responsibilities:Supervising and running day-to-day project activity to ensure productions are progressing efficiently through the facility to final deliveryWorking effectively with the rest of the production team to cover resource scheduling, project management, and billingBuilding and maintaining good relationships with new and existing clients Building and maintaining good relationships within the company including with creative, operational and technical teams, the rest of the production team, and management.Being open and able to negotiate with colleagues and clients when conflicts and challenges ariseMain DutiesProject Management:Being responsible for the day-to-day project management and running of multiple productions being finished in the facility at any one time, either individually or in pairs/small teams of producers/associate producersManaging all aspects and versions of assigned projects to completion as required e.g. sound and picture, film and digital, 2D and 3D, HDR and SDR, theatrical and home entertainmentWorking closely with the filmmakers, studios, other vendors, and internal teams including Image Science, Operations, Engineering and Deliverables to build workflows tailored to specific project requirementsOrganising internal pre-production meetings and overseeing the internal project team to ensure that effective procedures and communications are in place between all partiesOrganising camera and workflow tests on shows in preparation for principal photography, VFX and finishing.Working with clients and colleagues to schedule in productions that you are looking after, ensuring that the schedules are reflective of the bid and the work that is requiredKeeping the clients aware of the schedule that they are holding and resolving any conflicts/challenges with other productions with themLiaising with operators on the progress of jobs and providing support to ensure schedules are upheldManaging freelance schedules and outside services if required, and helping to raise purchase ordersWorking closely with production, studios, broadcasters and streaming services, and other vendors in the creation and delivery of final and archival mastersTroubleshooting and escalating any problems that arise throughout the post process Providing support to other producers on the team, particularly resource scheduling and billing, as well as gap coverage for project management and taking on additional assignments as needed to help satisfy client needsBilling & Cost Reporting:Providing regular costings and financial updates including Bid-Versus-Actuals spreadsheets to clientsEnsuring work orders are created, costed, PO'd, and billed in a timely fashionEnsuring that all the accounting, including resource tracking, forecasting and billing on all projects that you are managing is up to date, in keeping with company protocolsExperience:Have good experience working as part of a teamHave strong experience dealing with clientsHave experience of successful project managementHave in-depth knowledge and experience of workflows for picture and ideally sound post-production on high-end long-form productionsHave a good understanding of the process of creating, checking and delivering final masters of the highest standardPersonal Requirements & Skills:Highly organized, methodical and detail orientedCapable of managing multiple projects and prioritizing conflicting tasks effectivelyA proactive problem-solver with a logical mindset and a creative approach to production challengesStrong client service focus, with a positive, can-do attitudeComfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to shifting schedules and prioritiesCalm under pressure and confident in decision-makingStrong communication skills in writing, on calls, and in person, with a clear sense of when and how to use eachSkilled in negotiation, able to be assertive while always remaining respectful and professionalAbility to develop and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of colleagues and clientsGood collaborator and team-player willing to ask and answer questions of team-mates, and to work together for the greater goodContributes to and helps foster a healthy, supportive, and positive work cultureBusiness Systems:Familiarity with capabilities of DaVinci Resolve, Baselight, Flame and Pro Tools desirableMicrosoft Office 365: Outlook, Excel and Word proficiencyFamiliar with facility scheduling applications such as Media Pulse, Ceta, and Xytech Proficient with web applications and portals for job managementWorking Conditions:Standard 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday. However, due to the nature of the role, some weekends and public holiday working maybe requiredTypical working hours are between a start time of 9/10am and finish time between 6/7pm finish, though earlier or later shifts may be necessary depending on project demandsThis role is an on-site positionAbout the Company:Company 3 / Method Studios provides a full range of creative services for content creators including conceptual design, pre-vis, look development, ideation and rapid prototyping, 3D animation/CGI, motion graphics/design, matte painting, compositing, dailies and production services, color grading, post-production/finishing, marketing/trailers, live-action production, experiences, and more.
