Plastic Pictures is currently looking for a motivated Financial Controller. This is an exciting role within a vibrant, friendly and creative film and graphics production company.

Responsibilities:

- Managing all aspects of the company finances and working with the creative/editorial teams to ensure productions run smoothly.
- Understanding and effectively navigating procurement portals to obtain purchase orders.
- Preparing and managing weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Credit control (debtors and creditors).
- Raising invoices / paying invoices.
- Help Executive Producers/Producers/Production Manager estimate, prepare and monitor production budgets.
- Evaluating and improving production margins and profitability across all productions.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Preparing for year end (and audit).
- Liaising with HMRC on all aspects of Corporation Tax and VAT.
- Ad-hoc reporting projects for senior management.
- Work with the company's accountants to supply financial detail
- Payroll, pensions and related year end returns.
- Understanding & preparing bank, petty cash & credit card reconciliations.

Requirements:
- Excellent IT skills (Mac and PC) and be skilled in accountancy, budgeting and scheduling software.
- Working knowledge of Octopus/PMI is essential.
- At least 5 years experience working within film/television/corporate/media finance industry.
- Highly analytical, problem-solving skills and comfortable bringing new ideas to the table.
- Strong leadership skills and an admirable work ethic.
- Effective negotiator.
