Head Gear is one of the most prolific private financiers of media in the UK, deploying over US$35m a year into around 25 feature films around the world, as well as television productions, video games, animations and theatre shows; Head Gear also works closely with its sister company, Bankside Films, a leading international sales agent.
 
Head Gear is looking to fill a Finance Intern position from May 2016, with the potential for the role to develop into a permanent position after the initial three month period.
 
The role would suit someone with basic experience in the film industry who is looking to develop a greater understanding of how large media projects are financed, ideally with some experience or interest in finance. Please note that this is a business-focussed role, at a prominent film finance company, and we are not looking for candidates who are seeking to develop careers in directing or production.
 
The scope of the role includes:
 Research and data collation
Building databases
Analysis and report writing
Administrative support
 
Essential skills required are:
 Strong administrative and organisational skills
Good all-round IT skills - especially Excel and Word
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work from own initiative
Demonstrable problem-solving abilities
 
Essential personal qualities required are:
 A strong, authentic interest in the independent film business
A conscientious, team-oriented attitude
Friendly and relaxed personality
Flexibility and ability to take ownership of projects and tasks
 
Remuneration will be at the level of the London Living Wage.
