What will you be doing?
We are looking for a filmmaker to join our award-winning film team at Autovia and work on our top brands including Auto Express, DrivingElectric, Carbuyer, evo and Car Throttle.

We're looking for a driven, creative and motivated filmmaker who wants to join us on our mission of creating class-leading automotive videos across our brands and for our clients. You will be assigned multiple projects every week with strict deadlines and will work directly with journalists and the other filmmakers.

Working with our in-house and freelance filmmakers you'll be responsible for both filming and editing videos each week, primarily for the Auto Express, DrivingElectric and Carbuyer brands as well as evo and Car Throttle, and on commercial projects, too. You will use the latest editing software along with our range of cameras including Sony and BlackMagic systems to pocket cinema cameras and GoPros.You will also be assisting the social team on creating smaller video assets for our other social platforms.

This is an office-based, remote-working and on-location position where there will be travel both in the UK and internationally. Please include a link to your showreel / portfolio along with your CV when applying.

Key tasks
* Film and edit video pieces for motoring-related brands. Videos to be produced for a variety of digital platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, websites) and other offline channels.
* Ingest, review raw footage and follow formulated editing structures
* Manage the organisation of projects and related media assets as well as backing up and archiving.
* Liaise with filmmakers, producers and journalists playing an integral role in the creative process. Follow scripts, directions and implement feedback and amend edits accordingly

Why you?
* Excellent knowledge operating the latest cameras and camera technology
* Good experience and knowledge in video editing and creation
* Proficient in Adobe Premiere, Prelude, Media Encoder, Audition, After Effects, Photoshop
* Knowledge of audio editing techniques and sound design
* Ability to research images, music, and video content as support material to video shoots
* Understanding of usage and clearance requirements for music, images and footage - especially rights related footage
* Ability to add graphic animations to videos
* Ensuring key messages and storytelling criteria are met
* Good colour grading skills
* Understanding of various online video platforms and excellent understanding of video compression and optimisation for web video. e.g. YouTube, Facebook, Instagram & Twitter
* Knowledge of producing video for various devices e.g. iPhone etc, and interest in new developments and innovation in video content to keep our channels ahead of the curve
* Ability to work on your own and as part of a team with excellent organisational and time management skills and be able to handle multiple projects at the same time
* Accurately archiving footage to be easily accessed by the rest of the video team
* Attention to detail on all pieces of work
* Essential that you communicate effectively with the film team and the wider editorial teams
* Excellent organisational skills and technically savvy with troubleshooting problems
* Ability to take notes & listen, understand client goals & vision while also having a creative eye for improvements
* Must have a valid UK driver's licence
* Motivated to deliver the very best quality

Nice to have
* Passion for cars and good knowledge of their features and specifications
* Experience flying and using drones
* Experience using DaVinci
* Knowledge of YouTube and analytics
* Good animation experience
* Graphic design experience
* Experience collaborating with clients and brands when creating videos
