Job Title: Fabrication AssistantDepartment: RiggingResponsible to: Head of Rigging DepartmentHours: 40 over a 5-day week Monday to Friday ORLocation Wimbledon, SW19The Role SummaryTo prepare equipment as instructed by HoD Rigging in the accurate fulfillment of orders and to undertake the final preparation of equipment to a high standard in readiness for delivery to the end customer.Key Duties and Responsibilities:• Assist in the preparation/spraying of fabricated elements of d&b orders.• Support the Rigging department as demand requires.• Ensure delivery deadlines are met.• Ensure sufficient stock of paint is kept to meet order demands.• Maintain the spray and cutting shed to a clean and safe standard at all times.• Ensure all PPE and safety equipment is well maintained and fit for purpose.• Regularly check and replace filters when required.• Ensure all packaging of equipment is fit for purpose.• Assisting in the specific show preparation of orders.• Work closely with departments to ensure continuity of equipment preparation and standardisation.• Identifying & implement areas of improvement to assist with preparation processes.• Reporting any health and safety issues to line manager.• Report any unsatisfactory equipment to Quality Manager for review.• Ensuring the Company's quality standards are maintained at all time.• Ensuring that the Company's policies, rules, procedures and obligations are observed inPersonal Competencies and Behaviours• Methodical approach, conscientious with a good eye for detail.• Experience in maintenance and use of paint spraying equipment.• Proven understanding of requirements from customer.• Understanding of procedures, range of equipment and scope of duties.• Capable of working to deadlines.• Good communication skills and willingness co-operates with others.• Prepared to work additional hours when necessary.• Self motivated and able to work under own initiative as well as part of a team.• Ability to lead and develop a team.• Computer experience and a good understanding of the 'Insphire database.• Copes well under pressure.• Positive attitude to extra duties and new challenges• Maintains a safe, clean and hazard-free environment.• Adheres to the Company's Health and Safety Rules.• Reliable with a good timekeeping record.• Ability to follow and undertake safe lifting practices as instructed.d&b Solutions Key Policies and Core Values;• To work alongside the members of other teams and communicate effectively• To learn about the company and its activities in order to understand and deal with the customers• Maintain d&b Solutions confidentiality at all times• To represent the company in a courteous and appropriate manner in all circumstances• To follow correct procedures at all times and to follow the policies laid out in the staff handbook• An awareness of health and safety policies, risk assessments and be proactive in implementing them ( for relevant Managers, on site Managers or Project Managers) - OR Adhere to and demonstrate knowledge of health and safety matters in relation to work related tasks and ensure that relevant Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to at all times• To carry out your duties and responsibilities in a manner that reflects the Core Values of d&b Solutions at all timesApart from the duties summarised in this job description, we retain the right in consultation with the post holder to include other reasonable duties, which are part of, and incidental to, this type of work. ¬In our aim to be an inclusive organisation, committed to providing equal opportunities in the recruitment, training, and development of our employees, we strongly encourage suitable applicants from a wide range of backgrounds to apply for our roles.
