The Role:Do you have a minimum of 5 years experience in producing high quality film, video, digital/interactive media projects for the corporate, financial, PR, IR and corporate communications sectors?We are seeking a multi-skilled producer with demonstrable skills in Project Management and Production of Video/Film Projects as well as proven experience of growing and developing relationships with existing and prospective clients. We are initially looking to take someone on for 4-6 weeks, with the possibility of extension through September and October. For the right candidate, there is potential for the role to go permanent.Responsibilities include:Client / account management & development• Take responsibility for a number of client accounts and, in particular, for budgets and the administration of projects on behalf of these clients. • Responsibility to develop additional business from allocated client accounts.• Work with the Director of Screen Media to create client development plans for allocated client accounts.• Developing and writing proposals for business development purposes.• To work with the Director of Screen Media to build and to maintain a range of marketing collaterals that can be used by the screen media team and by all Bladonmore staff engaged in business development activities. • To be an ambassador for the business at all times.Production - responsibilities across the whole business unit• Supervising resource allocation + logistics management across all live production projects - including providing regular internal updates on progress.• Holding regular meetings with the project team to review progress.• Ensuring all completed work is delivered on budget and schedule and to the highest creative and technical standards.Production - responsibilities on specific, allocated projects• Researching and developing creative ideas, treatments and scripts.• Organising shooting schedules.• Directing some shoots and conducting on-camera interviews.• Managing all aspects of post production, mastering, versioning and delivery.• Client management throughout the project - including providing regular client updates on progress.People• In times to come the role may include line management responsibility for a Producer and Assistant Producer, as well as the Systems Project Manager and an in-house Film Editor. Line management duties will include the preparation of career development plans for the individuals concerned.• To maintain and to develop supplier relationships including links with key freelance and other external suppliers. This will include maintaining and updating a database of suppliers and working with the Director of Screen Media to source new talent, where necessary.• Oversee the graduate trainees / interns when they are working within the film team.Profitability• Responsibility for budgeting and cost control across all live projects with the objective of maximising profitability.• Regular liaison with the finance / commercial team to facilitate and develop final reporting systems for all film-related projects• Working with the Director of Screen Media to review, keep current and competitive the pricing rate card for all film-related services.Attitude & Skills required:• The ideal candidate is self-reliant, creative, commercial and a committed team player with excellent people, project and time management skills and a passion for creative and technical excellence. • Minimum of 5 years experience in producing high quality film, video, digital/interactive media projects for the corporate, financial, PR, IR and corporate communications sectors.• Passion for nurturing relationships with clients and developing business. • Must have experience of managing in-house / freelance teams. • Familiarity with Apple Final Cut Studio would be an advantage.• Preference will be given to candidates with experience of working for IVCA member organisations.Other matters to consider:• Work involves regular unsocial hours at weekends and in the evenings. Long hours and time spent in on location or in edit suites are the norm.• You need to be highly motivated by success and pressure. Flexibility and mobility are extremely important, as is the ability to handle the pressure of financial responsibility.• Travel during the working day is frequent. Overnight stays are also common when filming is taking place.• Overseas work or travel can occur.
