Type: Full-Time | Reports to: Head of Folding Pocket | Salary: Up to £60k | Team: Editorial

About The Role:

We're looking for a passionate, experienced Executive Producer to lead the creation and growth of bold, culture-shaping sports podcast content, under our Folding Pocket label, in an increasingly crowded market. This is a role for someone who knows how to lead a production team and for someone who understands what truly makes a podcast cut through - from defining a distinctive editorial voice and shaping a standout guest strategy, to optimising YouTube packaging and driving social discoverability. You'll combine creative instinct with commercial awareness, ensuring every episode delivers both impact and reach.

You'll lead production end-to-end by developing new formats, refining existing ones, and overseeing delivery to the highest standard - on time and on budget. Strong organisational skills are essential, alongside the ability to manage teams, build momentum and maintain creative excellence.

We're looking for someone who obsesses over the details - from episode structure and talent chemistry to thumbnails, titles, and audience retention curves. You understand how audiences consume sports content today and how to build loyal communities around talent, moments and narrative.

Key Responsibilities:

First-Class Editorial Leadership
Define and lead the editorial vision across shows, ensuring each episode is optimised to create loyal, returning audiences.
Shape compelling narratives, scripting frameworks and recurring segments that maximise talent chemistry and audience engagement.
Collaborate closely with on-air talent to refine performance.
Constantly evolve formats through performance analysis, audience feedback and platform trends, proactively refreshing structure, tone and pacing to maintain growth and relevance.
Maintain exceptional editorial standards across research, scripting, guest booking and final delivery.

Strong Production & Showrunning Capability
Own the end-to-end creative and operational delivery of assigned shows - from development to publication - ensuring output is of the highest quality.
Lead production teams (producers, editors, social) to execute against a clear creative and commercial strategy.
Oversee recording schedules, workflows and post-production processes to ensure deadlines and budgets are met without compromising quality.
Develop and implement growth strategies across packaging, titles, thumbnails, distribution tactics and publishing cadence in line with platform best practice.
Analyse performance data (YouTube, audio platforms, social) and translate insight into actionable improvements.
Confidently manage senior talent relationships, creating an environment where high-profile contributors feel supported, creatively challenged and set up for podcast success.
Maintain strong budget ownership and financial accountability across production cycles.

Innovation & New IP Development
Identify, develop and pitch original podcast formats and IP opportunities aligned with business strategy, platform opportunity and audience demand.
Expand existing shows beyond the core episode model, including bonus content, live events, special series, spin-offs, partnerships and cross-platform extensions.
Develop both talent-led vehicles and scalable, repeatable formats that can be replicated with different hosts or internationally.
Stay ahead of industry trends across podcasting, YouTube and digital media to ensure a robust and future-facing development slate.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience growing sports audiences for digital content, podcasts, YouTube channels or similar IP-driven media.
Someone who can develop compelling show formats, respond to briefs and has an eye for opportunities in the sports market
Best in class editorial judgement - you understand what an audience wants to hear and know how to get the best out of talent.
Strong eye for what makes compelling packaging, thumbnails, formats and promotional assets.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with talent, agents, internal teams and external partners.
Entrepreneurial, proactive and comfortable operating in fast-paced, cross-functional, creative environments.

What's On Offer:

26 days annual leave
Hybrid working with flexible hours
Top-tier private medical insurance & healthcare cash plan
Life insurance
Pension plan
Mental health support via our Employee Assistance Programme

If you're passionate about media innovation and ready to contribute to a fast-growing company at the forefront of premium content and storytelling, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and become a key player in our global expansion and creative success!
