Executive Producer

London

We work with teachers to make short videos that help students understand more, learn faster and achieve better results by using authentic, high quality real-life footage that's relevant to them. We ensure they are levelled to the curriculum and provide guidelines, activities & worksheets to help publishers and teachers alike deliver better outcomes for all.

This role involves managing and overseeing the production team and projects, being the key point of contact for the team to ensure smooth running of all work, and any troubleshooting while supporting the Commercial Director with the division's strategic mission of being the global leader in video for education. Importantly, the role involves developing video pedagogy and techniques, be across current trends and have foresight on where digital education is going.

This role will be responsible for all stages of production from initial client brief through to delivery. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously across multiple teams while primarily owning quality control of everything that leaves the building.
You will be in charge of key relationships both with internal stakeholders and external resources, and primarily be responsible for managing budgets and margin levels to meet individual and department targets. You will have a wide range of freelance contacts within both the education and video production space, from subject matter experts to production crew.
Responsibilities

Client relations
Develop and maintain relationships with clients
Lead client production meetings
Liaise with freelance and in-house creatives
Manage client expectations over changes/revisions of films
Identify business development opportunities

Producing
Source freelance Producers, Production Managers, Directors, Co-Ordinators, Editors, Graphic Designers, Script Writers and Education Subject Matter Experts
Oversee production staff with studio recordings, including set up, management, liaise with crew, director and presenter
Support Producers with editorial planning of programme content
Suggest ideas for Concepts and Treatments (creative)
Flag any copyright or critical issues with the Commercial Director
Attend production meetings with clients
Help recruiting freelance producers and production assistants
Oversee production workflow and suggest improvements
Assume responsibility of costs against divisional budgets
Step in when required to direct and produce studio recordings
Ensure the production scheduling is practical and up to date yet on target with divisional expectations

General
Identify and communicate up-sell opportunities to the Commercial Director
Leadership and decision making on productions
Cross-project planning across all jobs in production
Write and manage budgets and schedules with production team - overseeing and controlling margin on all jobs
Hold regular department production meetings
Arrange training and mentoring staff
Trouble shoot and problem solving on projects
Constantly adapting workflows to maximise efficiency
Ensure the highest Health, Safety and Compliance standards, and conducting risk assessments for all shoots and projects
Oversee the delivery of projects, proofing and ensuring all work leaving ITNP is of the highest quality
Work with finance team on management of projects
Work with the Commercial Director on all future strategy, and team requirements, as and when required

Qualifications

Strong production background and an all-round Producer with experience in digital education, archive led productions, budgeting for and delivering content using all common production styles (including studio, on location, multi-camera, graphics, streaming, green-screen style productions) and strong commercial awareness
Strong leadership skills, both managing a team and projects while remaining 'hands-on'
Proven client-facing skills
In-depth knowledge of how the educational publishing industry functions, particularly in Language Teaching, STEM, Geography, History and Social Sciences
Strong negotiation skills
Highly organised with faultless admin skills
Solid understanding of Post-Production workflows
To have a positive and 'can-do' attitude towards work
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage large projects and multiple stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal skills and a diplomatic approach to building and maintaining relationships
Ability to work within budgets and keep track of expenditure
Show understanding of health and safety compliance and other relevant regulations to production
Passion to develop skills and progress within the team
Calm under pressure with the ability to adapt and be flexible in task and role
Be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
Ability to prioritise and manage your own time effectively
Ability to work to deadlines
