You will be working closely with our Head of Production in order to deliver successful and impactful work on our various multi-media projects across all areas of The RANKIN Group, including film, photo, events and publishing.

Working across a broad portfolio of clients you will be responsible for new business development, pitch work, client and supplier management and operational delivery.

Your day to day at Rankin

• The Executive Producer role requires the combination of commercial, creative and organisational skills.
• You will collaborate with and work alongside key creative staff in the successful delivery of pitches and the delivery of final content.
• You will manage projects from brief through to completion including initial budgeting, bid process, development, delivery and final distribution.
• You will be a leading voice in supplier and client account management and negotiation, ensuring that relationships are maintained effectively and that clients vision is delivered to the highest standards.
• You will be in charge of selecting the most suitable creative talent and any other needed resources, taking management responsibility for key roles, winning and maintaining trust, being accessible and taking an active interest in developing them and dealing effectively with any issues that arise.
• You will be responsible for overseeing film and editing teams and nurturing the production desk on all levels, from runners to producers.
• You will be in charge of schedule, resources and budget, always ensuring that the client's vision is delivered to budget and brief. Alongside the Producers you will be setting realistic budgets, scheduling and monitoring progress on programmes, anticipating problems and taking appropriate action.
• You will be responsible for the co-ordination and management of all areas surrounding financing, creative consulting, advertising, logistics, copyright, licensing, contracts and IP.
• You will be responsible for setting and maintaining production/editorial standards as well as any legal and editorial issues.
• You will aim for promoting diversity by putting together diverse and creative teams, and
by ensuring that content, output and on-screen talent reflects the diverse nature of the audience.

Key skills and competences

• 5+ years as a Senior/Executive Producer within the Film industry.
• Extensive experience with live action commercials, film productions and photography.
• Good working knowledge of production and post-production processes, techniques and technology.
• Commercial mindset with excellent negotiation skills and a deep understanding of the current trends and the international market space. Ability to instinctively anticipate both risks and opportunities within the advertising scene.
• Extensive knowledge of production bugeting, co-production and commercial opportunities in all media.
• Ability to fully understand client needs and make formal recommendations on potential talent.
• Solid understanding of content production combined with a creative flair and good taste for high quality content.
• Drive and resilience. Being able to maintain personal effectiveness by managing own emotions in the face of pressure, set backs or when dealing with provocative situations. Can demonstrate an approach to work that is characterised by commitment, motivation and energy.
• Ability to strike a great balance with the challenge of maximising creativity within budget and schedule.
• A team player and an inspirational leader who has a strategic vision that will result in the successful execution of the production.
• Network experience of great black book of production contacts both in London and oversees combined with the ability to find, win and shape exceptional work.
• Passionate about creating exciting, inspiring films and stills campaigns.
• A successful portfolio and proven track record of developing and nurturing strong relationships with clients, creatives and third-party suppliers.
• Excellent communication, multi-tasking and organisational skills and a very good eye for detail.
• Ability to see the bigger picture and to operate to the highest standards in a fast-paced and highly competitive business scene.
