Executive Producer

Leeds

We're looking for a dynamic, ambitious and experienced Executive Producer to join our TV Production team based in Leeds.

You'll need to already be well established in the North - with a great track record and a passion for making content out of London

The successful candidate will play a key role in generating ideas and content, pitching to commissioners and producing programmes for UK and international broadcasters and streamers.

You'll need great relationships at network level with several broadcasters, a fantastic track record in making premium factual documentaries for more than one channel, popular factual series and singles (ideally focused on consumer, crime and/or access), reactive fast turnarounds and have experience of managing both premium and high volume/ low cost teams.

You will oversee and manage the production of broadcast programming across a range of budgets, from development through to final delivery. You will be responsible for responding to commissioner briefs, support the development process, and pitching to win new broadcast business.

Ability to apply your skills across different types of broadcast material, from fast turnaround productions and studio shows through to longer programmes and development
Experience of budget and pipeline management
Awareness and understanding of the financial implications of all decision-making
Technical experience and solid understanding of Post-Production workflows
A positive and 'can-do' attitude towards work
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage large projects and multiple stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal skills and a diplomatic approach to building and maintaining relationships
Creative attitude to problem-solving
Flexible and confident leader of production teams, with the ability to motivate and get the best out of people
Ability to produce content under tight deadlines, always maintaining high standards
Hard-working, enthusiastic and creative, with a good sense of humour
Extensive experience of legal situations and understanding of media law and the ITN Legal Compliance procedures
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload efficiently and manage multiple tasks
Awareness of Health and Safety requirements
Ability to demonstrate core ITN values

Key Requirements
To lead and deliver premium long-form programming, high volume factual series and fast-turnaround shows - managing the process with clients, ensuring all output is of the highest quality and to deadline
Troubleshooting and remedying output problems
Develop, manage and maintain relationships with commissioners and clients
Manage client expectations throughout the production process
Step in to direct content for productions as required
Write proposals on a range of ideas in an appealing and dynamic way and pitch to commissioners
Generate and develop ideas working as part of a development team or independently
Manage budgets and a pipeline - work with the Head of Production to closely manage margins
Team management - motivate, set deadlines, oversee output, and ensure delivery is in line with production schedules
Keep aware and abreast of industry intelligence - to keep up to date with the needs of broadcasters
Develop relationships with agents and talent
Keep informed of topical issues and anniversaries for specific exploitation through programming
Take responsibility for all content, ensuring all stories are of highest editorial and technical standards, are accurate and comply with the law and relevant regulations
