As Executive Editor of BBC Radio Nottingham and BBC Radio Leicester, you will oversee creative programming, heading up two talented teams and enabling them to consistently meet audience needs on both linear and digital platforms and do their best work.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:
You will be responsible for overseeing the audio teams in Nottingham and Leicester. Working with the management teams at both stations, you will build on that success - setting a vision for the team in line with the divisional strategy.
You will oversee the radio schedules, lead the presenters and production teams and develop ideas for digital commissioning and visualisation.
You will hold regular team briefs and one-to-one feedback sessions. You will be accountable for making sure both teams are aware of their KPIs/targets and have the support they need to deliver them.
You will have a deep level of understanding of target audiences to both stations and good ideas for how to reach underserved groups
You will split your time across both sites and be good at prioritising where to focus on next.
You will provide inspirational leadership, support career development/talent retention and prioritise role-modelling the BBC's values to your teams and colleagues.
You will collaborate with a other leaders on the regional management team and maximise the impact of our best content.
You will also have the ability to innovate and develop pitches and ideas for digital platforms along with your teams. And will be able to clearly demonstrate a track record of establishing a positive, engaged and supportive culture.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Editorial leadership experience
Track record for leading creativity and innovation
Demonstrable understanding of the audiences to BBC Local and the opportunities for growth
First class communication skills
Energy and resilience
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
Evidence of changing workplace culture, challenging poor behaviour/performance
Experience of managing change
