EMG UK is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their VT department as EVS/VT Guarantee.

This full-time position will involve working within the amazing teams that deliver EMG UK's wide range of sport, music and entertainment production services to many of the UK's most prominent broadcasters.

The role requires a positive attitude, teamwork and dedication, but will provide a fantastic opportunity to grow and develop your skills as a guarantee in a supportive environment.

Though EMG UK is based in High Wycombe, UK, you will spend the majority of your working time on location working across our fleet of OB Vehicles. You will be required to travel extensively around the UK, and across Europe. The job will involve working away, in all weathers, keeping irregular hours and weekend work, but offers the chance to be a part of some of the biggest sporting and live events in the world.

As a EVS/VT Guarantee you will be responsible for all aspects of the on-site VT environment as well as the planning and job preparation at the EMG UK base in High Wycombe. You will be integral to the on-location production liaising closely with clients to produce a high-end product to tight deadlines.

We are also looking for willing Trainees to be trained up into this position.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties
* Preparation of outside broadcast truck or derig facility at our warehouse.
* Configuring replay systems for live sport as well as light entertainment events
* Operating and maintaining EVS LSM systems on ongoing sports contracts
* Configuration and deployment of layer 2 networks for media transfer and acquisition
* Front-line kit maintenance and diagnosis of faults
* An understanding of different video standards, record and delivery formats, codecs & wrappers

Requirements to join as a Guarantee.
* Minimum 3 years working in a live broadcast environment.
* Knowledge of SDI and/or IP Broadcast video systems. High Definition (Ultra HD preferred)
* Basic Windows and Mac OSX networking knowledge
* An understanding of EVS LSM configuration and operation
* Ability to work calmly and professionally in pressurised live broadcast environment.
* Personable communication skills with both clients and colleagues
* Confident and proactive under pressure
* Willingness to mentor and train junior staff
* Ability to work as a team but also demonstrate leadership skills.
* The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a live production environment and able to accommodate extensive travel,weekend work and long periods away from home.
