Event Producer

London hybrid HYBRID

The Events Producer plays a crucial role in organising and delivering exceptional events for The Drum and our clients. This entails achieving financial targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) while overseeing a diverse portfolio of events, including festivals, awards ceremonies, external client events, and internal company events. Collaboration with the event production team and other teams within the company is essential to ensure seamless event execution and management.

This position offers a fast-paced environment with a range of events taking place in the UK, US, and APAC regions, providing an exciting opportunity for an experienced event manager.

Responsibilities

Organise events to achieve predefined financial targets and KPIs.
Manage the end-to-end event process for a portfolio of Drum Awards, including launch, entries, sponsors, judging, nominations, and results ceremony/announcement. Events can be in-person, virtual, or hybrid.
Coordinate and attend award ceremonies, and events, both domestically and internationally.
Ensure events adhere to budgetary constraints and stay on target.
Oversee event production for Drum festivals, client events, and internal division events. This includes organising roundtables, webinars, panel sessions, coordinating speakers, content management, requesting assets, booking video producers, and ensuring the final product meets the highest standards.
Collaborate with the video production team to continually improve the quality of events.
Work with the Content Manager to recruit high-calibre speakers and judges, and manage relationships accordingly.
Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure exceptional event marketing.
Provide excellent support and fulfillment for sponsors.
Collaborate with the platforms manager to keep relevant websites up to date.
Manage assigned projects through Asana.
Adhere to company processes and systems, including Salesforce, Asana, and Slack.
Maintain awareness of activities across the organization, fostering collaboration between the events division and other departments to help achieve their respective goals.
Network with guests, judges, speakers, etc., during in-person events, representing the company professionally.
Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
Requirements
Demonstrates consistent achievement and surpassing of KPIs and targets.
An understanding of the marcoms industry is preferable.
Highly adept at organising and thriving in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Exceptional multitasking skills.
Exemplary time management abilities.
Highly organised and meticulous in task execution.
Capable of effectively handling and resolving stressful situations.
Comfortable collaborating with multiple internal teams and stakeholders.
Proficient in public speaking and delivering presentations.
Highly personable with excellent rapport-building skills.
Exhibits a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Willingness to travel as required.
Familiarity with Asana project management tool, slack, and Salesforce preferred, but not mandatory.
Fluent in verbal and written English.
