Event Manager (Event based hours)

London

We're looking for an Event Manager to join the team at Eventim Apollo, one of London's most renowned entertainment venues. You'll be working a few events each week, but this can fluctuate depending on the number of shows we have.

You'll be responsible for the efficient and safe running of our events, as well as supporting with the growth of the business through developing relationships across a variety of event types that can be accommodated within the venue.

You will be expected to deliver, whilst leading the operational teams, a safe environment for our clients and guests that exemplifies the brand promise to 'wow, thrill and excite with unforgettable experiences'.

You'll maintain close professional relationships with Event Promoters and deliver all their contractual entitlements; manage the event planning process, adhering to licensing stipulations and house policies and procedures; and work closely with other managers and staff to ensure successful, effective and profitable events.

Assisting the General Managers with the management of the production, security and other operational teams on allocated events to provide exceptional levels of service; you'll continuously seek ways to improve personal, team and business performance, advocating customer service excellence and intervening at all points with clients and guests to ensure the highest service levels.

You'll also ensure that all relevant customer complaints are dealt with appropriately and in a timely manner.

We're looking for someone with relevant events experience, working in either a similar size venue, Stadia or Arena. You'll have a strong knowledge of crowd management and security and be able to demonstrate a sound health and safety management background.

You'll hold a valid personal license and IOSH certification; and be commercially astute with sound financial management skills.

You'll have experience of managing front of house teams of 50+ and be able to motivate and coach to get the best out of people.

With excellent verbal and written communication skills you'll have the ability to communicate confidently with a range of internal stakeholders across diverse business areas ad be able to build good professional relationships with colleagues.

A team player, you'll have a positive attitude to work and thrive working in a high-achieving environment.

You'll need to be flexible too and understand you'll need to work a certain number of events each week which means working unsociable hours.

You'll want to raise the bar in this role, be solutions focused and look for ways to maximise efficiency. We encourage new ideas and innovation.
