Entertainment Reporter & Content Producer

We are looking for an Entertainment Reporter and Content Creator to join our Video Hub team in London.

Reporting into our Senior Entertainment Reporter and with a dotted line into the Deputy Director you will gather, produce, edit and present entertainment news content for Bauer UK's audio and publishing brands. Reporting on a variety of entertainment stories, premieres, award ceremonies and events and interviewing celebrities from the worlds of TV, film, music and social media. You'll deliver daily entertainment content for socials and on-air showbiz bulletins to our radio stations and those serviced by us as part of a content partnerships.

The Video Hub is a dynamic team of expert commercial video producers, highly skilled multi-media Journalists, Talent Bookers and Video Producers. We sit centrally across our portfolio of radio and magazine brands which includes KISS, Magic, Grazia, Empire, Motorcycle News, Heat, Absolute Radio and Greatest Hits & Hits Radio to name a few. You will be part of this department whose mission is to help to grow businesses through creative digital advertising solutions with video at the heart.

What you will be doing

Reporting on a variety of entertainment stories, premieres, award ceremonies and events.
Interviewing celebrities from the worlds of TV, film, music and social media.
Delivering daily entertainment content and on-air showbiz bulletins to our radio stations and those serviced by us as part of a content partnerships.
Pioneering creative digital content to engage and grow our social reach.
Setting the news agenda as well as following it.
Optimize our content, engage and entertain our audiences.
Working alongside the Senior Entertainment Reporter and our video producers to play a key role in producing and distributing daily digital entertainment content for the wider business.
Coming up with creative ideas to innovate the Video Hub's digital content - ensuring our content is engaging, exciting and of the highest quality - therefore sought after and widely used internally and externally.
Following best practice, ensuring your content and entertainment news is of the highest quality, abiding by Ofcom and media law.
Working closely with the digital teams across the business coming up with creative video formats and strategies to optimise our digital content.
Developing and maintaining relationships with film/TV/music PRs as well as radio producers within the company to ensure they're up to date with the content we're sending out.

What you will bring

You're a multi-media broadcast journalist, with professional experience. NCTJ / BJTC recognised broadcast journalist creds - are preferred but not essential. A pop culture vulture with passion for music, film and TV across every trend and zeitgeist social moment. Up to date with big name personalities, emerging talent and cultural conversations and you have a genuine excitement for working in media.

Experience in reading & writing sharp concise bulletins and working to tight deadlines. Accuracy is essential.
A clear on-air voice with equal confidence in front of or behind the camera.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of media law and Ofcom compliance.
Experience in red-carpet / celebrity interviews is preferred. A genuine passion for entertainment content is essential.
Good reputation for unique and compelling lines of questioning to ensure we're getting the best content that's different to our competitors.
An eye for headlines and trends, you know how audiences love to consume content on social media and have infinite knowledge of how to create content for different platforms.
Ability to develop structured content plans, manage your own time, can work just as well on your own as in a team.
Well organised, think on the spot, prioritise and spot a story in any situation - whilst keeping calm under pressure.
Skilled and speedy editor. Experience using Adobe suite is essential.
Comfortable dealing with a wide range of colleagues, news editors, content directors and brand managers across the business who will all have a say in, and want to consume the content you create.
The ability to self-produce is essential.
Demonstrable experience in this field is desirable
An eye for headlines and trends, combined with an understanding of how audiences consume content on social media. Can demonstrate infinite knowledge of creating content for different platforms like TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
Knowledge of engaging and growing audiences on social media, can show examples of this.
