Engineer Coordinator

Warner Bros. De Lane Lea is an award-winning post-production facility in the heart of Soho and a division of Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL), a purpose built, state-of-the-art film and television studio offering one of the largest facilities in the UK
Whilst known for its rich history in sound for film, Warner Bros. De Lane Lea has recently established itself as one of London's premier Picture Post Production facilities.

The Engineer Coordinator is an entry-level Post Production engineering position responsible for setup and maintenance of 40+ in-house client cutting rooms, multiple client communication networks and management of facility hardware/software resources.

The successful candidate will be part of an engineering department and with support from the current engineers, will provide technical support to all clients and staff to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the facility.

Accountabilities
First line technical support to all personnel
Implement cutting room move-in/out schedule
Manage/track asset movement throughout the facility
Ensure production specifications for cutting rooms/studios/grade theatres are met
Connect and configure client networks including patching and switch management
Upkeep of facility-wide phone system
Manage engineering department records and databases for equipment maintenance
Liaise with equipment suppliers and service companies regarding to equipment maintenance and repairs
Ad hoc duties as required

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

Intermediate knowledge of analogue and digital audio principles
Intermediate knowledge of Avid Pro Tools
Intermediate knowledge of Mac OS and Windows
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge of analogue and digital electronics (advantage)
Knowledge of video signals and formats (advantage)
Knowledge of networking (advantage)
Knowledge of post-production workflows (advantage)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to create an immediate rapport with clients and staff
Ability to manage and prioritise client and staff expectations in a diplomatic manner
Technically minded with the ability to troubleshoot effectively and efficiently
Ability to work well under pressure and to a deadline
Undergraduate degree or equivalent in Audio or Post Production Engineering or related field
Previous experience in a technical role is ideal but not essential
