Hi Impact is a journalistic production agency based in London. We are a growing studio of journalists, filmmakers and designers specialising in telling complex ideas simply. We produce our own original online content as well as broadcasting large scale virtual and hybrid events for clients around the world. THE ROLE We are looking for an experienced editor with advanced skills in Premiere Pro and the rest of the Creative Cloud suite. A working knowledge of After Effects is necessary, although additional training can be provided. Knowledge of 3D (C4D) or colour grading software (DaVinci Resolve) a benefit.An interest in news, current affairs, politics, history, economics, or the environment is essential. Our company motto is "Complex ideas, told simply" and the crux of the role is to help make difficult concepts easy to understand and entertaining to watch. You will be a great storyteller and have an ability to extract emotional impact and visual flair from often technical subjects. You will be creating short form original content for social channels. Working independently in Premiere/After Effects you'll create engaging films from templates and develop new visual ideas. We are looking for someone who can work within existing formats but also come up with and realise new and exciting ideas and film strands. This is an opportunity to be creative and develop a new online channel from the ground up. You'll often be working as part of a team so need to have an organised post-production workflow that plays well with other editors. You will be good at managing large amounts of content and delivering technically accurate films to clients, on time and without errors. You will be based full-time at our London offices (Camden). At least five years' experience working for a broadcaster/film company/equivalent, ideally in current affairs or documentary. Ability to deliver high quality and technically correct films in a fast-paced environment. A good understanding of codecs and formats, in particular delivering to different social channels.
