Main Duties & Responsibilities
Whisper Films are a leading TV production company specialising in high end sports production, branded entertainment and factual television. We are looking for a full-time Editor to join our post production department with demonstrable experience in a similar level position within the industry and an impressive showreel.

Key responsibilities:
• Offline and online editing (on Premier Pro) in our in-house post production department
• Work across a range of content, for a variety of platforms
• Grading skills to broadcast quality on short form and long form films
• Sound mixing for short and long form for final delivery
• Cutting and updating company showreels, pitch films and taster tapes
• Understanding the technical requirements to meet QC standards
• Work alongside our Post Production Manager, help manage rushes across projects and assist with archiving

Required Skills and Experience:
• Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and experience of creating exciting edits
• Ability to use After Effects (Mac based) would be beneficial
• Understanding of the technical specifications, creative and editorial requirements for delivering output directly to broadcast and also social media platforms
• Proven music editing skills and demonstrable ability to cut pictures to music in montages
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to understand a brief from the internal production team and external clients
• Experience of taking feedback from production staff and external clients
• Understanding of end to end production workflows and technical infrastructure
• Familiarity with Whisper Films output and experience in these genres of editing
• Passion for creativity and visual storytelling and ambition to work as part of the team to suggest new ideas and designs
• Meticulous attention to detail, project management and quality control skills
• Ability to work independently as well as alongside Edit Producer
• Good communication and problem solving abilities
• Ability to pick up and amend projects started by other editors
• Up to date knowledge of new industry technologies
• At least 2 year's previous experience
• Knowledge and enthusiasm for sport is a bonus but not essential
