The Edge Picture Company's Qatar Office is hiring an Editor.
The Edge is a Production Company with offices in London and Doha, who work with corporate clients to produce a variety of films for both internal and external use.
We are expanding our post-production team.

ROLE
• To edit films for our clients
• To work collaboratively or independently either as part of a wider project or within a self-contained brief.
• To work with Producers and Directors to deliver a high standard video
• Keep up to date with the latest software, technologies and industry design practices.
• Ensuring all work meets technical best practice procedures and standards, as set by the Head of Post-Production.
• Demonstrate a skilled and innovative approach to your work while being mindful of client expectations, budget and time constraints.
• Team player
• Working towards creating static and moving imagery as part of the pitching and execution process.

REQUIREMENT
• All round knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro.
• Knowledge and working use of AfterEffects would be desirable.
• Creative, clear thinker with an eye for detail and a passion for editing.
• Ability to take creative direction where needed and willing to address constructive feedback
• Ability and commitment to work to deadlines with experience in high volume of work and tight turnaround deadlines.
• The ability to articulate design concepts in a clear and conversational manner.
• Dependable, self-motivated and flexible with the ability to work under tight deadlines in a collaborative workplace
• Ability to sync sound with video, create subtitles, lower thirds, and work with various film formats
• Understanding post-production workflow from start to finish
• Knowledge with Mac support
• To transcode rushes, and encode files for review and client delivery
• Arabic - spoken and written - would be desirable.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: includes housing allowance & an expat relocation package for moving to Doha, in compliance with Qatari law.
Experience: 2 years working in a professional environment either for a production company or a post-production studio.
