Edit Assistant/Technical Coordinator

ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Technical Coordinator, with 2 - 3 years' experience working in a post house or production company, to join us, working across a range of projects from feature films to light entertainment.

This is a new position that will grow very quickly within the first 6 - 12 months so you will need to be able to be flexible with your hours in order to achieve the main requirements of the role.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
• Act as the Head of Post Production's right hand / go-to person, working across all aspects of the business including backing up drives, putting together workflows and dealing face to face with high end clients.
• A sound understanding of the principles of TV and film post production technology.
• A good knowledge and understanding of current broadcast standards, codecs and workflows.
• An understanding of and ability to create a variety of deliverable files.
• Experience in QC and creation of subtitles.
• A positive and flexible approach with an ability to think independently in resolving issues.
• A confident, creative instinct as well as a technical eye.
• A good knowledge of the Avid Media Composer / Symphony environment.
• Experience of using DaVinci Resolve and After Effects is essential.
• Working knowledge of shared storage, EditShare in particular and general sys admin experience.
• Broad IT skills in PC & MACS.
• A fast learner, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure to tight deadlines.

SALARY = £22 - 25K per annum.
START DATE = December 2017 / January 2018.
