Job Summary:

Channel 5's in-house Post Production team are looking for an Edit Assistant for a short term contract. You will work across a variety of different genres of programming for EHS, and offer day-to-day edit support for 16 Avid offline and two online suites. This role will suit a confident, reliable and friendly individual who is looking to play a key role within this small but busy department. As with any media company, you will at times work within an extremely fast-paced environment and towards strict deadlines. This role involves shift work.

Key Responsibilities:
•Backing up, ingesting and logging rushes
•Grouping and syncing rushes
•Export cuts for upload
•Edit support queries
•Conforms
•AAF creation / online prep / EDL's
•Creation of AS-11 files and other deliverables (desirable but not necessary)

Role-specific Skills/Attributes:
•Good knowledge of Avid is essential
•Shared storage (ISIS) and Pro Tools knowledge an advantage
•Understanding of Post Production processes including online, grading and audio, Harding and QC
•Knowledge of camera and shooting formats is useful (inc 2K, UHD, LUTS etc.)
•Excellent organization and communication skills
•Able to work calmly under pressure
•Ability to prioritize when multiple tasks must be managed simultaneously
•Can solve problems as and when they arise
•Willingness to always go above and beyond, working long hours and weekends when required
