Director's Assistant (DA)

SW London

We have an urgent Permanent role available working for a highly successful International TV Broadcaster situated in their own state of the art Studio's in SW London.

This role requires experience within a Live Gallery/Studio environment and dedicated experience as a DA or PA, with at least 2-3yrs live broadcast gallery experience, competent live timing skills: stopwatch techniques, experience in managing show timings and durations for live and pre-recorded shows whilst triggering graphics and VTs.

This role is a full time staff position based on a 40 hour week based over 4 shifts - Hours 9am to 8pm approx.

Must be able to work and commute to SW London and have full right to work in the UK.

The role is to start asap , reporting into the Head of Studio Production, the Director's Assistant will support the director in making sure the rundown is correct and complete. You will need to be fully skilled in managing show timings and durations for live and pre-recorded shows whilst triggering graphics and VTs.

Obtaining a thorough overview of the show's content, numbers of contributors, special items and troubleshoot any technical issues that can be foreseen, for example Skype, Live studio links, special segments and music items etc.

Liaising with the Producer and ascertain there is a suitable and clear running order

Communicating and delivering information to the Director and Floor Manager in plenty of time.

Confirming requirements such as graphics and VT's are in place for the Director and all media required ready for production.

Communicating show timings and durations.

Assisting the Director during the shoot and make sure the Producer's vision and wishes are satisfied.

Understanding Live TX processes - The DA will be the link between TX and Studio before and during live shows.

Operating Ross Inception control system

Triggering VTs and Graphics during production of shows.
