BBC Studios Kids & Family are looking for 2 x experienced Directors (non shooting) for Something Special. Salford based.

Justin Fletcher - AKA Mr Tumble - is back for a new series of the hit, CBeebies preschool show, Something Special.

Full of music, fun and laughter, the series combines scripted comedy with unscripted actuality, to entertain young audiences and help them communicate and develop their language skills through our partner, Makaton sign language. The series portrays and empowers children with SEN, while remaining inclusive and accessible to the wider preschool audience.

Directors will script, direct and edit produce segments for the show, ensuring Justin's adventures are educational, fun and inspiring. Celebrating our partnership with Makaton, you will script and direct scripted content and actuality to support the learning of specific Makaton signs and follow our contributors on various adventures

We're looking for Directors who have experience of producing and delivering short-form content end-to-end, and ideally experience of working with children. Experience of working with children with additional needs is also helpful (but not essential).
