Outline

Responsible for managing the contract with BBC Sport to operate their in house post production and studio facilities. You will work closely with Head of Operations and key BBC stake holders to deliver the expected level of service.

Skills
• Proven experience of managing a large team of 60 staff.
• Good knowledge of Post Production and Broadcast workflows
• Ability to forecast and manage an annual budget
• Excellent communication

Tasks

Operations
• Point of contact for Sport management and departmental leads/execs
• Regularly meet with key clients from all departments to discuss and review performance
• Produce documents and reports upon BBC request
• Focus on continuous improvement

Staffing and resourcing
• HR liaison
• Hold regular senior staff meetings
• Responsible for headcount and recruitment requests
• Liaise with wider Farmgroup regarding resourcing sharing
• Line manage the Head of Operations

Commercial
• Manage the P&L
• Produce Budget and Forecast for the upcoming financial year.
• Responsible for salary reviews
• Responsible for rate negotiation with client
• Responsible for rate negotiation with freelancers
• Propose terms and budget for contract renewals and contract tenders

Finance
• Work the finance team to ensure all systems run efficiently and provide the appropriate information.
