Job Specification - Full time Director wanted with excellent creative development & shooting skills, plus experience working with visual effects.Spectrecom Films is based in Kennington, London and produces award-winning films, TV commercials, corporate, charity and branded content for some of the world's leading brands and biggest digital agencies. We are recruiting a full time Director to join our filmmaking department. Key ResponsibilitiesSpectrecom work on a wide variety of projects and production genres, and you will need to be comfortable Directing any type of production and adapting your directing style to suit.We are looking for a solid performer who can work in both narrative and visual effects workflows, someone who comes with a creative edge who can bring alive productions with enthusiasm and flair, steering creatives from pre-production, on set and in post.You will be responsible for effectively communicating your ideas - this could be at creative pitches before a project is sold, or generating clear, well produced documents to communicate your ideas and planning - storyboards, shot lists, mood boards, directors plans etc.During production itself you will manage staff on set - so you will need a good understanding of all aspects of production, set etiquette and production workflow. It will be your responsibility to make sure a production runs to schedule, so good client liaison and communication skills are a must. Working with our producers you will make sure that everything is in place for a shoot to go ahead successfully. You will also need an artistic eye and good level of directing experience, to ensure the highest standards of filmmaking.Finally, you will also need a flexible skill set - you may be required to edit projects or undertake camerawork from time to time.Key SkillsExperience in Directing a variety of types of production - TV / Cinema adverts, branded content, corporate productions, studio work, documentaries, multicam shoots, visual effects and green screen.High level of camera operator experience (working with high end cameras, and a detailed understanding of advanced camera settings)A good level of lighting experience - not just interviews, but creative studio and location setups as well.A broad knowledge of production equipmentHigh level of experience working with visual effects and an understanding of associated post production software.Competent editing experience with Adobe CCDemonstrable passion for filmmaking Please apply by sending a CV outlining your experience in relation to the above.
