Jist Studios is looking for a highly motivated and super organised Production Manager to joinour growing in-house team. We make broadcast, commercial and learning content withpersonality. From super slow motion cereal adverts shot using camera robots, interactivetraining for leading retailers, digital content for brands or factual entertainment for Children'sTV, we work on it all. We tell engaging stories from concept development, production andpost, through to delivery. As a small and ambitious team we're always learning, alwaysgrowing but most importantly always having fun!Working with our Creative Director to oversee all aspects of production for original content,commercials and corporate productions, the Production Manager, will be responsible forleading projects from commission through to delivery. They will be expected to maintaincommunication with all stakeholders, ensure the team hits deadlines, along with making sureall productions are run safely, insured, legally compliant, and delivered on time and onbudget.They'll be a problem solver, experienced in working in a fast-paced production environment,working directly with creatives, brands, agencies and commissioners. With an excellentknowledge of the production process from start to finish, they'll be used to managing multipletasks and projects at once with exceptional attention to detail.A professional, confident, reliable and highly organised individual, they'll be passionateabout telling stories for a wide range of clients in a wide range of markets.Managing end-to-end production, your core responsibilities will include:ScopingTaking client briefs, working with the Creative Director to budget, resource and schedule allprospective productions.Production PrepWorking alongside our Assistant Producer to source crew, kit, location permissions andpermits. Booking travel and accommodation. Creating call sheets, risk assessments andshoot documentation.BudgetingKeeping track of budgets for each production taking responsibility to ensure targets are metand shoots kept on budget.SchedulingTaking responsibility for the schedule at each stage of the production process, payingparticular attention to day-to-day resourcing across the creative team, especially in the postproduction processes.CommunicationMaintaining communication across the business both internally and externally. Ensuringclients are kept informed of the progress of a production at each stage and that entire teaminternally are aware of upcoming deadlines.You will be well presented and have a friendly, approachable, professional attitude beingable to work directly with clients to achieve a product we are proud of and our clients love.Some of the characteristics we're looking for:At least 2 years experience in a similar role within an agency or production company.Highly organised, great communicator. Self-starter with a good initiative able to getstuff done.Keen to help to grow the business through ruthless organisation and a keen eye onbudgets.Working knowledge of profit and loss and skills in use of spreadsheets.Confident leading a creative team to deliver projects on time.A good understanding of the production process from pre-production, production andpost production.Going the extra mile for our clients to produce content their audience will love."Jack & Jill of all trades" - as a small team we need malleable people who are willingto contribute in all areas of the business.Full UK Driving LicenseHere's what we'll do for you:An awesome environment you are directly involved in - we're not a big team you canmake a big difference and touch every part of the production process if you want to.Excellent progression opportunities as we grow and expand our team.Time to produce your own projects - learning and development is about doing, weunderstand that.
