Digital Production Manager

Manchester

Jist Studios is looking for a highly motivated and super organised Production Manager to join
our growing in-house team. We make broadcast, commercial and learning content with
personality. From super slow motion cereal adverts shot using camera robots, interactive
training for leading retailers, digital content for brands or factual entertainment for Children's
TV, we work on it all. We tell engaging stories from concept development, production and
post, through to delivery. As a small and ambitious team we're always learning, always
growing but most importantly always having fun!

Working with our Creative Director to oversee all aspects of production for original content,
commercials and corporate productions, the Production Manager, will be responsible for
leading projects from commission through to delivery. They will be expected to maintain
communication with all stakeholders, ensure the team hits deadlines, along with making sure
all productions are run safely, insured, legally compliant, and delivered on time and on
budget.

They'll be a problem solver, experienced in working in a fast-paced production environment,
working directly with creatives, brands, agencies and commissioners. With an excellent
knowledge of the production process from start to finish, they'll be used to managing multiple
tasks and projects at once with exceptional attention to detail.

A professional, confident, reliable and highly organised individual, they'll be passionate
about telling stories for a wide range of clients in a wide range of markets.

Managing end-to-end production, your core responsibilities will include:

Scoping
Taking client briefs, working with the Creative Director to budget, resource and schedule all
prospective productions.

Production Prep
Working alongside our Assistant Producer to source crew, kit, location permissions and
permits. Booking travel and accommodation. Creating call sheets, risk assessments and
shoot documentation.

Budgeting
Keeping track of budgets for each production taking responsibility to ensure targets are met
and shoots kept on budget.

Scheduling
Taking responsibility for the schedule at each stage of the production process, paying
particular attention to day-to-day resourcing across the creative team, especially in the post
production processes.

Communication
Maintaining communication across the business both internally and externally. Ensuring
clients are kept informed of the progress of a production at each stage and that entire team
internally are aware of upcoming deadlines.
You will be well presented and have a friendly, approachable, professional attitude being
able to work directly with clients to achieve a product we are proud of and our clients love.

Some of the characteristics we're looking for:
At least 2 years experience in a similar role within an agency or production company.
Highly organised, great communicator. Self-starter with a good initiative able to get
stuff done.
Keen to help to grow the business through ruthless organisation and a keen eye on
budgets.
Working knowledge of profit and loss and skills in use of spreadsheets.
Confident leading a creative team to deliver projects on time.
A good understanding of the production process from pre-production, production and
post production.
Going the extra mile for our clients to produce content their audience will love.
"Jack & Jill of all trades" - as a small team we need malleable people who are willing
to contribute in all areas of the business.
Full UK Driving License
