Working in an evolving and ambitious company, the Digital Production Manager will work closely with the Head of Content and the Director of Production to oversee incoming production for all original digital video commissions. Main responsibilities include working with editorial leads to respond to pitches, project planning, budgeting and cost management, managing project contracts with clients, recruiting staff, managing facilities, and getting projects up and running successfully.You will need experience of working in a fast-paced digital production environment, able to juggle multiple tasks and projects, used to overseeing large teams and content at scale, and must be highly organised, with excellent communication and attention to detail.Key Responsibilities:Internal ProductionManaging end-to-end production for all video projects, including setting up all shoots, source crew, camera kit, arrange locations and permits, book travel and accommodation.Creating call sheets and risk assessments, and ensuring that all documentation and permissions are taken care of prior to the shoot.Shoot budget management for all existing and new series - jointly responsible for ensuring shoot targets are met and kept within overall budget.Production planning for new videos projects, including scheduling, budgeting and execution with senior editorial managers.Jointly responsible with senior editorial colleagues for integrating safety and risk management into the production process, assessing and reporting production risks, and also ensuring all video content is legally compliant and fully contracted with the correct rights before publication.Improving production processes and protocols, and working across the development and implementation of organisational systems and procedures.Ensuring the Snr. Editorial team have oversight on project statuses and reporting updates on a regular basisExternal ProductionCreating budgets for external clients for a myriad of content briefs, including digital series formats and commercial briefs.Managing a portfolio of project budgets ensuring that delivery is achievable within the proposed timeframe and budget.Oversee assessment of the financial viability of content ideas, identifying and mitigating any risks.Ensuring consistency in scheduling, budgeting and managing productions across the company in line with any relevant frameworks, and ensuring resources and editorial aspirations are aligned.Ensuring profit margins and recoveries in budgets are achieved by effective planning, forecasting and management of people and resources, and assessing and reporting production risks (including overspends) to the Director of Production.Negotiating key legal agreements with clients for legal and director approval.Responsible for planning and managing capacity (resources and people) in line with strategic objectives and commissions.Ensure an understanding of and compliance with production policies, guidelines, legislative and regulatory requirements (with particular emphasis on health & safety, risk management, editorial policy and data protection).Requirements:What do I need to succeed?Proven experience in managing end-to-end production of digital content at scale, on a global level.Excellent contacts and a deep knowledge of packaging first-class production talent, showrunners and producers.A deep knowledge of building content budgets and working with senior editorial teams, and proven background in negotiating budgets and tariffs with partners.A demonstrable ability to juggle several projects and multi-task.Confidence reviewing and negotiating legal agreements.A strategic and ambitious mind-set, with energy and drive.A robust understanding of all staffing, talent and production contracts as well as business affairs processes.Benefits:As well as our standard benefits, we have a number of awesome perks available to our staff including:Unlimited annual leave (yes you read that right!)A share in our success- every member of staff receives a profit pool bonus at the end of our financial yearFree digital magazine subscriptions and access to back copies of our print magazines and bookazinesDiscounted gym membership and onsite health & wellbeing (yoga at lunch anyone?!)Regular staff socials arranged by our wonderful Employee Community & Culture committeesHuge opportunities to learn and develop whether through professional qualifications, exposure to incredible business projects or informal lunch & learns, hosted by your colleaguesFuture Studios is a production centre of excellence, creating and distributing original video content throughout the Future family.
