Reduced Listening is an award-winning independent production company making acclaimed podcasts and audio for major broadcasters, streamers and cultural institutions, opening windows to new worlds for our audiences.We are looking for a Digital Producer to shape how our work is seen and heard. This is a chance to take podcasts and factual storytelling beyond the feed and onto the screens and platforms where audiences discover and engage with our shows.You will work principally on our multi-award winning weekly politics strand, Pod Save The UK. This is a combined editorial and technical role, helping to develop editorial ideas and then shaping the visual identity of the show.You will also work on our other culture and arts podcasts, creating marketing and social media content for the company and for our clients. If you enjoy working collaboratively with a mission-led team, shaping digital strategy for high profile talent, crafting engaging video packages for YouTube and TikTok and experimenting with new ways to grow audiences, this role is for you.The Role * Attend studio or remote recording sessions and import footage, synchronising between multiple audio and video files * Work with other producers to create long-form video podcasts working in Adobe Premiere Pro using multicamera sequences * Produce and edit shortform video and audio content optimised for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and X * Devise and deliver social media campaigns to grow our engaged audience * Work with Executive Producers and talent to ensure content feels authentic, timely and engaging * Manage publishing schedules across audio and video platforms, ensuring smooth workflow and accurate metadata including enticing and accurate show notes * Monitor analytics and produce reports, using insights to shape future content strategies * Keep Reduced Listening at the cutting edge of digital practice by spotting opportunities and testing new formats * Source and edit together archive and inserts for use in studio * Research politics stories for Pod Save The UK * Create briefing documents when required * Guest booking * Desirable: proficient location self-shooting producing/directing skills to create packages for features within the show editorial - shot on smartphones and fast-turnaround edits ready to play in to recording sessions or edits * Have the energy and stamina to work with a highly dynamic and dedicated team of talent and producers on a weekly politics programmeWhy Apply * Creative freedom to test new ideas and bring fresh energy to how our shows live online * Variety across politics, culture, arts where no two shows are the same. Visibility for your work across YouTube and social media with engaged audiences * Collaboration with presenters and creative team of producers to shape the digital side of high profile podcasts * Growth potential as the company expands, with room to develop new strands and skillsAbout You * Good knowledge of the UK political landscape and an interest in new ideas that can improve society * Experience producing video and audio content for podcasts, radio, video or cultural brands * Strong video editing skills in Premiere Pro for long and short-form content including creating subtitled clips for social media * Sound editorial judgement and ability to implement notes and feedback * Understanding of digital publishing best practice including YouTube SEO, TikTok trends and Instagram Reels * Ability to analyse data and turn insights into action * Sharp writing skills for social copy, captions and metadata * Collaborative, organised and adaptable, comfortable juggling multiple projects * A natural feel for audience behaviour, trends and digital storytelling * A team player with interest in elevating the work of our company and contributing to ideas * Good working technical knowledge including media management and the ability to troubleshoot problemsThis role could work as a part-time or full-time role, between 3-5 days per week, with the role shaped accordingly, with video editing and production at the core of it.
