Digital Producer

The Daytime Digital Team produces all of the social, website, app, and branded content for the Daytime brands.

Firmly embedded in shows, the team create and curate the best content from across Daytime's award-winning output.

An exciting opportunity has arisen on the Good Morning Britain team for a Digital Producer - who will ??work within the show to maximise the brand's impact on digital channels, editorially select the most impactful content - and support the show with their digital requirements.

The role will focus on creating shareable content which supports, engages and amplifies audience engagement across the digital estate.

The successful candidate will be brimming with social-first content ideas which will engage our viewers and speak to our different digital audiences.

You will create content across different platforms and audiences - with the right tone of voice and optimise the publishing of this content for maximum effect.

This role will also require you to be closely embedded in the Good Morning Britain editorial team, forward planning the best way to tease and promote content - along with being responsible for key social channels.

The ideal candidate will ideally have experience working with on screen talent and contributors and know how to manage and foster those relationships.

You'll have a broad understanding of the news agenda - and have the editorial acumen to select the right piece of content, for the right platform, at the right time.

The role will require you to work early morning shifts and bank holidays. Time will be given back in lieu.

Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)

Experience creating digital content across digital platforms at a major brand/news organisation
Excellent editorial judgement
Ability to film and edit short clip sequences on mobile camera devices
Expert in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, After-Effects, Premiere Pro)
Experience using data to inform decisions about what content to publish, when and where
Significant knowledge about 3rd party platforms and optimal publishing processes
Understanding of the OFCOM Code
Excellent spelling and grammar
Ideally experience working with on-screen talent
Can-do, self-starter attitude who can work independently to get things done

Other things we're looking for (key criteria)

Responsibility for planning and publishing day-to-day content, turning around content quickly and to the highest standards
Make relevant and high-quality content, but most importantly optimise where that content goes and how it reaches the most relevant audience
Create and publish video, image and text content which supports campaigns and digital content priorities, ensuring it meets set objectives and KPIs
Understand how to optimise content for individual platforms in order to achieve the desired result, focusing specifically on reaching the most appropriate audience to market the programme and also engage with our viewers
Keep up to date on changes to platforms, consider how they might impact what Lorraine does and pitch ideas which help make the most of platforms
Work to strict timelines and feedback across the life cycle of the programme
Analyse the data to make informed choices about how and when to publish content
Produce content which is of the highest possible quality, taking ownership of your own publishing and provide regular feedback to stakeholders
Manage relationships across production - along with on-screen talent and presenters
