Digital Multimedia Journalist (Persian)

IITV's Digital News Hub is a dynamic news service that operates tirelessly around the clock, providing an extensive range of news content for multiple platforms and across different language services. The News Hub offers fast, clear, and accurate coverage of news, presents thorough analysis of the developments, and invests in exclusive reporting, as well as in-depth and high-impact investigations.

Multimedia Journalist is a key member of the Digital News Hub, responsible for producing and delivering news content in text, video, and audio formats. They are expected to work quickly under pressure, break news, and write stories fast and accurately. They contribute to sourcing, verifying, and utilising user-generated content (UGC). They also manage the organisation's social media presence, engagement, and strategy.

Responsibilities
Report to Editors and collaborate with other reporters and team members to ensure the smooth flow of news production.

Research assigned topics or news events, gather information from various sources, verify facts, and ensure accuracy in reporting.

Pitch their own story ideas and file reports, analyses, and explainers.

Conduct interviews with relevant individuals, experts, and eyewitnesses to gather insights and quotes for news stories.

Deliver news content in text, video, and audio formats.

Effectively utilise social media platforms to promote news content and engage with the audience.

Assist in the production and delivery of podcast programmes and news bulletins.

Demonstrate creative storytelling skills, technical expertise, and strong organisational abilities.

Ensure accurate and timely translation of news content from one language to another.

Plan, organise, and execute various virtual and physical events to promote the organisation and create new content.

Translate English and Persian video packages and create fresh video reports.

Requirements
Good knowledge and deep interest in Iranian and international news and current affairs.

Strong writing skills and the ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and accurately.

Passion for uncovering compelling stories and delivering high-quality content.

Proficiency in video editing and script writing.

Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Strong research skills and the ability to gather information from various sources.

Willingness to learn new skills and flexibility to perform in newly assigned roles.

Ability to work cooperatively as part of a large team.

Well-developed communication skills for conducting interviews, building relationships with sources, and collaborating with colleagues.

Adaptability to evolving newsroom practices and technologies.

Excellent spoken and written proficiency in Farsi and English.
