Digital Content Manager

London

We are looking for a Digital Content Manager to work on 4Real - a new large-scale, long-term digital partnership with Channel 4, starting in September.

The 4Real factual strand, aimed at young audiences, involves establishing a team to produce and manage original digital, multi-platform video content as part of Channel 4's new Digital Creative Unit, responsible for growing the corporation's presence across digital and social media.

Working as part of the 4Real team, the successful candidate will oversee the growth of audiences and communities on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Snapchat. This will include day to day management of the channels, scheduling and publishing of video content as well as ongoing development of an effective distribution strategy.

This role has great scope for wider expansion in the coming months as 4Real look to expand their suite of channels and shows.

Key Responsibilities:
- Development of schedules to coordinate publishing with other Channel 4 social media.
- Community Management and Engagement across platforms.
- Video optimisation, and advising on video strategy and best practices.
- Claims, Rights and Policy management of our video content, including takedowns of stolen content and understanding copyright law on YouTube and Facebook.
- Social media management for all video content, including publishing to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat etc, and creating guidelines and processes around these.
- Monetisation and management of advertising operations with YouTube and Facebook.
- Channel and video SEO, keyword research, seeding of content, and audience engagement.
- Channel curation, including managing playlists, annotations, and comment moderation.
- Oversee coordination and creation of video metadata on an editorial level, including headlines, descriptions, keywords and thumbnails.
- Manage the general administration of all video content, such as asset management and collation of content lists for clients.
- Become a key source of knowledge around all 4Real content.
- Reporting and analytics of our content to clients and partners.
- Assist and advise on technical aspects of delivery to new portals and clients.

Essential Skills & Experience:
- Working with YouTube and Facebook's video publishing platforms. Working in a fast-paced environment, preferably with an MCN.
- Sound technical ability.
- Ability to multitask and work on different projects at the same time.
- Well organised with excellent planning skills, and a very good eye for detail.
- Superb communicator with both internal teams, and external clients.
- Creative and flexible.
- Experience working with Snapchat Story Studio a plus.
- Working with programs such as Microsoft Word/Excel.
