DI Editor / Grade Edit Assistant

London

Part of a busy editorial team working across Baselight, where you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of timelines and deliverables for HETV and feature films. The role requires an excellent communicator and has the ability to be able to handle a fast-paced environment overseeing several moving parts and be able to prioritise accordingly.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
• Conform using Baselight for SVOD or projects that require a UHD/HDR/ DI workflow (Colour management, image sequences and flame finishing)
• Timeline management within baselight, maintaining, rendering, delivering archiving and internal file movement between Online, Grade, VFX and data IO.
• Supporting the colourists making sure they are set-up correctly, have access to the correct timelines and on hand for any queries.
• Liaising with the wider team to ensure that all elements are in place for the smooth running and completion of a job.

Other Duties
• Cover for absent staff in the team within the remit of the job accountabilities
• Undertake ad hoc projects and administrative tasks that are relevant to the operation of the department
• Attend relevant training identified to ensure duties are performed efficiently

Skill Ability & Experience

Essential
• Experience and thorough understanding of UHD HDR and colour managed workflows
• Solid understanding of VFX I/O, delivery of VFX turnovers, conform turnovers and online work
• Working knowledge of latest broadcast and feature studio specs
• Able to work on own initiative and proactively handle day-to-day issues, escalating and resolving where appropriate

Desirable
• Solid experience using conform tools, Baselight Experience preferable
• Knowledge of different camera formats including codecs & colourspaces
• Knowledge of the entire post-production timeline process from shoot to delivery

Education & Training

Essential
• 5+ A* to C (9-4) level GCSE's or equivalent
• GCSE level minimum B (6) grade or equivalent in English
• Trained on MS Office applications

Desirable
• Degree level education in relevant field
