CMG Productions are looking for a development producer to join our team and work across our unscripted slate. This will be a majority remote working role, but we are particularly interested to hear from candidates in the South West. The role will start in mid-September and will initially be a 12-week contract with the opportunity to extend.You will be working on our slate of unscripted projects which are mainly access-led, and sit across sport, music and popular culture.The successful candidate will have outstanding research and writing skills with experience in• Working independently to source, research and stand-up global stories.• Developing and producing detailed research for pitch decks.• Gaining access and securing key contributors who are happy to share their stories.• Carrying out detailed research calls• Producing pitch materials• Working with challenging stories• The latest compliance and welfare practices around sourcing and working with contributors• Identifying and securing IVs with top experts in the field - UK and abroad• Working creatively with the team writing initial scripts and research briefs• Finding documentary evidence and archive that can be used on screenKey skills? A strong journalistic and investigative background with the ability to analyse information.? Highly inquisitive and determined with a good nose for storytelling.? Good general knowledge of sport and crime and keeps abreast of the news cycle? Self-motivated? Exemplary research skills? Excellent writing skills? Good knowledge of the sport and crime landscape? The majority of our work at CMG is for international or multi-territory, so ability to identify stories with appeal beyond just UK markets a must.?
