Can you help grow a start-up in video and TV production?

Econ Films is a niche production company specialising in videos and films about economics, politics and science. We are looking for an experienced business development professional to help take us to the next level of clients and productions.

Do you have experience in any of the below?
(Given our niche, it is not expected that you have done all of the below, but you must have at least done some)

• selling video production services?
• getting commissions from broadcasters?
• selling video to the non-profit sector?
• selling communication services to the education sector?
• selling professional services to the education, public sector or non-profit sector? Responding to tenders with budgets over £100k.
• getting videos and films commissioned by clients?
• developing concepts for TV and film?

You will receive a salary, benefits and bonuses plus commission based on new business development.

What you will do:

• Oversee all sales and business development, reporting directly to the Managing Director
• Work with our team to ensure that business development is at the heart of everything we do
• Take the lead on business development strategy, highlighting points of weakness to be addressed
• Manage existing clients
• Reach out and build relationships with new clients
• Develop pitch decks, putting together budgets and pitching for work
• Responding to tenders
• Build relationships with broadcasters
• Manage marketing and social media to drive new business

You are:

• Someone with minimum five years' experience in one of the following:
• media production,
• video production,
• TV development,
• B2B business development in the education, non-profit sector or public sector.
• Someone with a professional or academic interest in current affairs, ideally economics. A background in journalism or news could be useful.
• A great pitcher who knows how to excite people
• A deal maker who can close a deal
• A strategic thinker who will develop short, medium and long-term business growth strategies
• Completely fluent in English (another European or Asian language would be awesome)
• Right to work in the UK with a passport permitting international work travel.
