Development Producer

Central Glasgow

DEVELOPMENT PRODUCER - STUDIO RAMSAY GLOBAL (SCOTLAND)

Application deadline: MONDAY 7th FEBRUARY

Start date: MID-MARCH (but can be flexible for the right candidate)

Location: Central Glasgow / WFH

Studio Ramsay Global, the television production company co-owned by Gordon Ramsay and Fox Entertainment, is looking for a dynamic DEVELOPMENT PRODUCER (OR AP LOOKING TO MOVE UP) to join its brand-new Glasgow office on an initial 6 MONTH CONTRACT.

Studio Ramsay Global is behind some of Gordon Ramsay's biggest shows including the BAFTA nominated Gordon, Gino and Fred's Road Trip (ITV), the culinary competition Next Level Chef (FOX), as well as the epic adventure series Uncharted (Nat Geo).

We also make big factual entertainment shows without him too - including the fixed rig documentary series The Savoy (ITV) and the Keith Lemon competition The Fantastical Factory of Curious Craft (C4), amongst lots of others.

We're looking for a confident development professional with a passion for television, a flair for building relationships with new talent and big brands, and a hunger to create ambitious and outrageous new FACTUAL ENTERTAINMENT FORMATS.

The ideal candidate will have:

- 3+ years of factual entertainment development experience (although we would consider applicants who have experience on challenge teams too).

- Experience negotiating access to big brands, and institutions in Scotland and the rest of the UK.

- An interest in finding new food and factual talent. We're looking for someone who avidly consumes content across all forms of media, and is confident meeting with agents, and new talent.

- Strong writing skills (we're looking for someone who can come up with great titles, and write engaging and entertaining one-pagers and treatments).

- The ability to come up with LOTS of ideas. We want someone with creative energy who can enliven brainstorms with ideas, and surprising research.

- A good understanding of the Scottish commissioning landscape (as well as the wider UK). We're looking for someone who keeps abreast of the latest channel briefs, trends, ratings, and pro-actively watches the latest TV releases.

- The ability to work part of a small team. Initially, the Glasgow office will be relatively small. Although there will be regular meetings with the London development team (over Zoom and in person), we want someone who can see projects through from start to finish.

Desirable (but not essential) criteria:

- An interest in food! As Gordon Ramsay's company we naturally keep on top of the latest news in the world of food and restaurants.

- Experience cutting taster tapes on FCPX.

- Photoshop design skills and experience of creating visually attractive decks.

- Experience pitching to commissioners.

Our main office (and larger development team) is in London, but we also have a team in LA too.

Initially you will be working from home, with regular Zoom meetings with the rest of the team in the UK and America. Once Covid restrictions are lifted, you will then be able to work from our central Glasgow office near Charing Cross. There will also be opportunities to visit our London office too.

If this all sounds like you - then please get in touch!

Please send the following (with the subject line DEVELOPMENT PRODUCER - YOUR NAME) to tom@studioramsay.com

- Up-to-date CV.
- Your availability and rate.
- A covering letter explaining why you would be great for the job.

We'll aim to let all candidates know by FRIDAY 11th FEBRUARY whether they've made it to an interview.

Initial interviews will be over Zoom on W/C 14th FEBRUARY... with potential second interviews TBD.

We are an inclusive employer and encourage applicants from all under-represented and diverse backgrounds.

Hope to hear from you!
